I just made my first flight in nearly forty years across country. As I sat
looking out the window, I saw a lot of fields out in the southwest, where
whatever was bing farmed was done in circles. Larges round areas of green,
obviously many acres, in the middle of a square plot. I just got curious as to
what was being grown in that fashion. Thanks.

they are using a pivot and arm irrigation system that travels slowly
in a circle.

Okay, thanks. That makes sense. I've seen those. I just never saw the results
from the air.
