The Bay Area Nanotechnology Discussion is a group of individuals who bring
experiences from very diverse backgrounds. Some of us have worked many
years in fields related to Nanotechnology; and some have read articles
about Nanotechnology and want to know what all the excitement is about.
We meet bi-monthly and would like to encourage experienced professionals
and those with general interest to attend. We will be meeting next at
7:30pm at Farley=92s Coffeehouse at 1315 18th St. at Texas in San Francisco
CA on Thursday, April 1, 2004.
Requirements for joining this discussion: an open mind, and an interest in
Nanotechnology. We are all there to learn and be challenged by one
another, so group participation is essential to making this a success.
This meeting will start with an open discussion on Molecular Manufacturing:
Self-Assembly, directed and not
Bio-inspired Assembly
Molecular Beam Epitaxy
AFM arms
Direct-write
Lithography and templates
Fab integration
and the big question, what do we want to put together?
