I'm fine. Don't fancy working in the rain though but this is money in
the bank for me. |

So with all that rain and low pressure, why aren't the isles getting a lot
of tremors to go along with the rain?

Good question.

But the wrong one.
Work it out for yourself.

The depression that goes along with the cyclones and the flooding is
counteracted by the levity that follows Weatherlawyer's public self-abuse
here (and in uk.d-i-y).
ISTR that Weatherlawyer has previously mentioned being in Lincolnshire
somewhere. That's a county that includes a section called "Parts of Holland"
because of the Cloggies that came over in the 16th & 17th centuries to teach
the locals about dykes, drainage, etc. They essentially reclaimed ("re-"???)
from the sea over a century or so. So it's prime territory for getting
flooded out. Though they do seem to have avoided it. This time.

Hehehehe. I can relate. I guess they got lucky this time, though I
understand that the forcast on your side of the pond is calling for more
rain. Talk about adding insult to injury!
