Yes, it looks nice. I like mine better because if goes back much further in
time.

Does it have anything to do with the file 'paleogeography.kmz' ?
(Don't know what app is required to open that one.)

Thanks to news:47b0c112$0$17394$426a74cc@news.free.fr ,
you can look at http://jan.ucc.nau.edu/~rcb7/globaltext2.html and
http://www.geology.sdsu.edu/localgeology/gekmz/paleontology/paleoglobe/
for hight size pictures with continental cover and no text, and a
version
.kml globe simulator.
That's really good. I like it (the google earth one, that is). Thanks
for
the link.

George,
Have you figured out how to switch it to different time periods? It opens
as Middle Devonian, but I notice there are subdirectories on the site for
other periods. Can't see anything obvious to switch time. Maybe one needs
to download the entire site and edit the kmz file...........
cheers

The one at this link:
http://www.geology.sdsu.edu/localgeology/gekmz/paleontology/paleoglobe/
Yes, it has a ".kmz" extension.
