Hamas has taken over the Gaza Strip.
Nothing new there - Hamas had the nut jobs, the shooters, and all the other
typical religion of peace military accoutrements to do it.
However, Hamas' thugs are over excitable, as witnessed by their out of
control execution-style killings of Fatah leftovers. Nobody will pay any
more attention to them.
As far as what the so-called izzies do with them regular Gazanians, there
are basically 2 options. Based on 60 some years of prior Israeli experience
with them, they could all be advised to pack a bag and head for the Egyptian
border, or steal, or buy, some truck tire inner tubes, blow them up nice and
fat, hop on them and paddle out off the Gaza beaches for the 12 mile limit.
Of course, the Hamas thugs will stay on to take on the Israeli army, but
this Summer, the rules will have changed a bit, so the outcome of this match
will have to wait for the game. |

Hamas has taken over the Gaza Strip in the past few days. Since the
Gaza Strip borders on Israel, and is much smaller than Israel and
Lebanon, and Hamas wants to wipe out Israel, why hasn't Israel invaded
the Gaza Strip? I believe that if Israel did so now, while Hamas is
consolidating its power, I believe that Israel would find it easier to
dislodge Hamas than it would if it waits.
To what purpose, Tim? There are what, 1.5 million Palestinians in Gaza? What
are the izzies going to do with them if they re-invade the place? Feed them?
House them? Grant them izzie citizenship? If they invade and occupy, Gaza
becomes THEIR problem. How is this in the zionists interest?
I have some alternate suggestions:
I: Send Israeli and Fatah agents into Gaza to wage guerrilla war against Hamas!
II: Send in an international peacekeeping force into Gaza.
III: Send a joint Israeli-Egyptian force into Gaza.
Sounds to me more like a job for the mighty IDF
Which is what I was suggesting in my original post! |

To deny Hamas a base from which to attack Israel, of course!
Why is Israel still in the West Bank?
Colonial expansion, of course! That, and to prevent the creation of a viable
Palestinian state.
Then why did Israel withdraw from the Gaza Strip? |

I am half expecting Hamas to declare an independent Palestinian state
and appealing to Arab nations to assist them in wiping Israel off the
map!
If they can get away with that and still get their welfare money, then they
will try...
Nobody in the Middle East, other than Iraq now, gets more
tribute from Uncle Sugar's taxpayers than Israel and if any
Arab entity gets welfare it's for making nice with Israel.
Another suggestion: We and Israel offer to establish full diplomatic relations
with the Hamas regime in Gaza, and help Hamas fight poverty, in return for Hamas
renouncing terrorism and recognizing Israel. |

I'm out on tribute or welfare to either side or handouts in the way of
military hardware but I know I'm not going to get my way on that since
U.S. defense contractors and AIPAC would diffuse any such
notions fast in the DNC and the pugs are out-sucking the Dems
when it comes to sucking Israel's weenie.
The rest sounds fair to me and it would diffuse a lot of critisisms
any time the Israelis have to retaliate for any BS....so long as they
use their Mirage-copy junk on their Palestinians instead of our
hardware......just considering the stateside image there somewhat.

a) the could no longer justify the cost (financially or personnel) of
providing protection for a couple of thousand yids
b) the knew the place would descend into anarchy |

A significant part of the world would go with that, on the proviso the yids
withdrew their troops from the WB, and dismantled the illegal settlements
there.
The yids won't go for it however, as they have no interest in peace.
They need the Arabs as a common enemy to ensure they don't tear each other's
throats out. |

I'll bet the residents of Gaza are keeping track of "favors" from
the Israelis besides what comes from Israeli PR operations.
Well, good luck with that....I'm sure it'll all be paid for by the

To isolate a whole slew of Pallies and to create a massive open-air prison
camp.
To save themselves the megasheckels (actually Yankee subsidy money) that it
cost them to occupy Gaza to protect a very small number of zionist
squatters.
To split the PLO. They knew better than anyone else where the Hamas
sympathizers lived. See also izzie DEMANDED Palestinian elections. They knew
that Fatah did not have a prayer in Gaza, but would predominate in the WB.
The ziothugs don't want Gaza, but they DO want to take over the WB bigtime,
and the last thing they want is to absorb all the Palestinian residents.
A brilliant strategic move, all things considered. |

You'd even get me voting for that option, Tim! Two small caveats though. The
zionists have to renounce extra-judicial murders and have to release the TEN
THOUSAND (and that's a LOW estimate!) that they have locked up without
charge, trial, or definite sentence.
Fair enough?
Btw, fifty gets you a Shoveari turd it ain't gonna happen. |

True, and women and kids throwing stones and a few guys with AK-47's will
produce much smaller izzie casualties than actually fighting men willing tio
resist as they found to their detriment when they tackled Hamas. The
Merkavahs might actually work against stone-throwers. |
