Hello
I'm looking for references on turbulence in microflows/nanoflows (as in

flows through micro/nanochannels) for writing a review paper as part of

a course. I couldn't find many papers, which I suspect is primarily
because of the fact that turbulence is pretty much nonexistant in
microscales. I doubt if turbulence exist at all in nanoscales, if not
at microscales.

Can somebody provide me some ref about this topic?

Thanks in advance.

Have you looked using the term "microfluidics" and "nanofluidics" instead
of "microflows" and "nanoflows"? I think you'll find more references using
the "fluidics" terminology. For example, I found the following text on
Amazon:

"Fundamentals and Applications of Microfluidics"
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/1580533434/102-5067094-6342560?v=glance&n=283155

Unless one is pumping something like mercury at high speed through a
microchannel, I suppose turbulence is non-existent.

Here's a start. They are not exactly spot on from a general point of view,
but you should be able to start tracking down some good references.

Hi Jim and Marc,
I tried the different related keywords got a few papers, esp., related
to transition to turbulence and mixing in microchannels. Thanks for
your help.
