Jane and I had perfect conditions at Chuckwalla Bench in the Colorado
Desert south of Joshua Tree -- 109 objects each. I really had hopes for
M30 at sunrise too, and could watch 41 Cap all through the morning
twilight, but I gave up at 6:25 when M30 wasn't to be seen.

Transparency was spectacular all night, seeing was average (fine for
Messier objects), winds were light and manageable, and the temps ranged
from 85 at sunset to 50 at dawn.

I'm sure an attempt three nights later would net 110 in similar
conditions. It was one of those rare perfect nights.
