03/17/07 the Hind's Crimson star (SAO150058) was a vivid red at about
20:00. Later at about 22:00, I wondered if my Losmandy had lost its
way, could not locate it, but as it moved to the west into more light
polution and lower, it was hardly recognizable as a red star. Earlier
it was as red as a red LED moreso than I had ever seen it. This is
one of my favorite items to observe. It is a variable 5.5-11 Mag.
Lots of light polution here in the Miami area.
