The zumo firmware v3.00 is still up on Garmins website.

I would have thought it would have fixed by now or at least removed
while they work on it.

What gives ?

No problems on mine.

I suggest you re-flash the firmware again.

As I said, mine works fine.
In fact I have 2 Zumo's here as I've just updated my friends one as well.
And surprise, it works fine!

Mine works as supposed to as well. I can pan the map, point somewhere,
then Go to that location. No problem.
Have you tried deleting your user data, if you can't get this to work?

I have repeated this on 3 other zumos including just out of the box
with no user data

problem
