please correct me here. when i 1st got my esab TIG unit i was only welding
mild steels. i believe i was also using my co2 tank for shield gas even
though i had a ar tank (saving ar for aluminum and ss). i dont remember ever
having any issues with the welds or tungsten (thoriated at the time), etc.

so, is it possible to use co2 with TIG on mild steels, or am i just
"dreaming" ??

thanks.

Im cheap. I tried it. AC/DC/SP/RP...all I did was burn up the electrode
in record time. It did weld..but I could see the tungsten actually
burning away.
Even tried C25. Did the same..just took longer to do it.

Now I bite the bullet and use argon. Shrug

Political Correctness

A doctrine fostered by a delusional, illogical liberal minority and
rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media,
which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible
to pick up a turd by the clean end.
