Heh, They are still doing that?
I think they made some adjustments to it but they are still
doing the filtering.

I know of at least one kook that gets filtered. |

I agree. The only thing it has going for it is the searchability
and statistics of it's archive.
I would be far more worried about the double and triple posts...
I do know that Google originated messages cross posted to more
than 3 groups will get blocked by my NSP.
Heh, They are still doing that?
As far as I know. Not that I've taken the time to check.
Quote: Like that isn't really having much of an effect is it?
Which was my argument against their silly filter.
Quote: I left, under less than happy conditions... They really were not
suiting my needs anymore...
I'm still here 'cause I'm still stuck with my dial up ISP.
I'm still stuck there becase I cannot get broadband at my
location. At least, not at a resonable price.
Quote: (usenet politics were involved...)
I suspect that in SN's other filtering policies and their double-
standard lame excuses for them.
Quote: It wasn't a forgery, I forged nothing. Their software goofed.
I still see the occasional complaint in .support about various
problems which sitll go unanswered. Or, they get all high and
mighty and say "since you are not a direct customer...."
Bunch o wankers, the lot. But hey, I get it free, so I'm gonna
take advantage of it.

That's why I pick those words very carefully... The use of the words
system wasn't an haphazard happening.
An aside:
I think it was in Geology1b when I became really became aware of the
concept of a system of faults. While our local faults near here were
inactive for a very long time... there were lots of very small quakes
that built up enough energy in the Greenville Fault (on the east side
of the Livermore Valley...
When in the early 80's the fault ripped off a largish quake, the
place where I580 cross the fault was damaged... a bit more energy and
it may have collapsed either freeway bridge and two different railway
bridges. There was a 4-6 inch drop in several places along the scarp.

And your maps are well done... They do set a standard.

LMAO as if there's a better way to access usenet!! That's almost beats
Bob's all-time dumb statement that 18/1000 = 20%.

LMAO What difference does it make how usenet gets accessed? This is a
stinking newsgroup, not some sophisticated plotonium lab. It's a
button click and a 1/2 sec wait and zap you're here. You type and
stick it with a single mouse click and you're done .. no matter how
you access it.

some kind of cyber-matrix ? But then this comes from a guy who thinks
that 18/1000 = 20%.

One can say parts of the SA fault system can store enough energy to
create a 7.2 quake... other parts seem to slip/break after enough
energy is stored to create a 2.0... and even that isn't always
true... there are enough ancillary faults that can store energy.

2) Not all quakes have the same driving mechanism.

Bob, improve your English or toss the bottle. Maybe it's just the way
are you've been accessing Usenet LOL.

Dude, why do you keep replying to the same post with different
replies? Are you tryign to cancel the previous edits in favor
of the new ones?
Actually I'm told that this is a known mis-feature of
Google-Group's editor code. I don't know for sure - I killfile
everything emanating form Google-Groups.
