Hello folks. Greetings!
My problem is the LG 37" Color TV which has a power problem. No
video, no sound, no raster. Blackout. Whenever powered on - a tick-
tick-tick sound can be heard from the power supply.
The voltages at the secondary of the switching transformer are 42Vdc,
14Vdc, and 10Vdc. The required voltages are 120Vdc, 30Vdc, 12Vdc, and
5Vdc. The voltage across the Filter Capacitor is 300Vdc.
I've already replaced the Power Regulator IC with part number STRS6709
but the dc outputs are still the same. The tick-tick-tick sound is
still there.
I've checked all resistors and capacitors and diodes in the power
supply. They are all OK.
I've also reheat all soldered connections in the power supply.
What could be the problem?
Sincerely,
Bugs_Bayani |

The SMPS is cycling - indicates a possible short.
