I am trying to repair a board with an 8 pin DIP
labelled
Harris
A75002-5
8642
It could be a transistor pair or an Opamp or even an optical isolated OpAmp
All help greatfully received

I wish I could... I had a look at Google, but by the time a component's
existence is reduced to the kind of monkey diarrhoea I saw there, it has as
much food value as a wet fart. Can you work with the detail around it, and
find something that does what must be done? Finding an original looks
impossible, unless someone here can hand you one by return of post after
easy payment.
That crap spewed all over Google just means you haven't a chance of getting
it from ANY of those idiots, they're just trying to catch your eye and
waste your time. |

Also, that number is a bit like a GI chip.
Intersil was another one in the GE chain IIRC.

Highly likely it's an OEM specific part number. Since you can't get
any detial on such devices you will have to sketch out the connections
to it and then try to match the function to common chips. You might
get lucky... |

FWIW, this site claims that an A750025 is an RCA (Thomson) op amp:

OTOH http://www.usbid.com lists the A7-5002-2, A7-5002-5, and
A7-5002-7 as Harris parts.
