Hio,

On a more serious note, I live in the Uk and wonder about proper free
ranging on an organic basis.

Any idea how many chickens you can have free ranging on an acre of
ground (looking for a figure per acre).

What are the rules around producing eggs free ranghe and organic?

The DEFRA site has all the free range details -- links are in the archive of
this group
Soil Association are the organic regulatory body and there are lots of sites
to help you there
Most decent sized gardens are well above specifications but then things are
different when its a large building and a 25 acre field
!!
