Yeah well just like I said, 2 weeks to the day, and JILL's sent us some more
of her surplus Scottish rain

Started as just a few drips on the roof on and off late yesterday arvo and
evening but then started raining properly during the night

When I checked the raingauge at 9 am there was 15.5 mm golly that's over
half an inch in the old dinosaur measures. Golly what lot. Indeed there so
much water pooling around the back in an area I drive through to get to my
backyard (really it's driving across council land) hope I don't get bogged
in next time I need to drive out somewhere !

Thanks again Jill, but you can call it off now, my rainwatertank is 105 %
full with water backing up the inlet pipes as it can't run-off via my
overflow system to the garden plants fast enough !

cheerio
a rather Wet Catherine, on the edge of the Western Australian desert !

She's probably run out of space, the loch is overflowing (as usual - I
wonder what it's level SHOULD be!) and the water's over their wellies. Tim's
changed his allegiance to scale boats instead of trains and only the ducks
are happy Smile

Only half an inch? Spouse is in the garden as I type, in his wellies, with a
VERY long drill trying to make drainage holes under the several inches of
water on the path. I tried explaining about saturated ground but he's a bit
short of something to do. The poultry are sitting on a fence, watching him.
I think there won't be any worms today.

Get an inflatable dinghy against the day - you'll be the talk of the town.

From the look of the news, you must be copping some amazing weather at
the moment. I believe we're due for it on the weekend after it's
finished with you Westcoasters. Hope you are out of the damage area.

There is plenty of it -- wind, rain etc -- thats for sure - the ground is
over saturated and its so tiring.
We get little damage cos it happens so much of the time :~(
Stuff is pretty well inured to it. We have little that is not secured or
just good and stable.
We have had this weather pretty well most of the time since the end of
October, although the bit around Christmas was blissfully drier.
