Just got this. It'll give people something else to discuss. Smile
This January edition of the 1421 mailout bulletin comes with very
best wishes for a Happy Chinese New Year!

2004 started with a successful trip to the USA for Gavin, to coincide
with the publication of the 1421 paperback edition there. He toured
the country, staying in over 11 major cities in 16 days. Tremendous
publicity was achieved, and the book re-entered the New York Times
Extended Bestsellers list.

With regard to public appearances, Gavin's critics at the American
Historical Association (AHA) and the World History Association joint
Convention in Washington DC were surprisingly ill-prepared for his new
evidence. This was coupled with the interview with Dr. Tony Frudakis
of Sarasota's DNAPrint Genomics, with whom we will attempt to date DNA
of native peoples, using linkage disequilibrium, to see whether they
have recent Chinese DNA, and thus silencing the critics forever. As a
result of Gavin's tour, 1421 is now a text book in American schools.

Other dramatic twists in the 1421 tale include the remnants of a
pre-Columbian Chinese civilisation in Boston. On his trip, Gavin went
to meet a source of some fantastic information regarding a Chinese
city in the area, which was built out of beautiful cut blue stone. Our
source said he had read that the first pilgrims to reach North America
found a city built out of blue stone some 20 miles inland from
Plymouth MA near what is now Waterland. They considered the city to
have been built by Chinese on account of several wrecked Junks which
lay nearby alongside the Banks of the Charles River, now part of
Central Boston. The gentleman said this blue stone city had been
dismantled by the first English settlers and used as foundations for
their first houses, and that the Junks had been blown up to prevent a
Chinese attack should they return. On close analysis of the stones at
the village where our source lives, Gavin saw that they had very
unusual and distinctive cutting marks, exactly the same as on the
leading edges of stones which he had seen at Bimini and on stones in
the Miami ship Channel (which came from Bimini.)

Incredibly Gavin was then told that the settlers were sure that the
original inhabitants of the area were Chinese because they said that
in addition to the Junks they had found in Boston, they had records of
a huge Chinese fleet that travelled from the Americas to England in
the 1420’s, en route to Muscovy. The Fleet had also visited
France and Portugal where they had been treated discourteously. In
contrast “The Dowager Queen” who was acting as Regent in
England was well disposed towards them. The Chinese delegation had
presented the Queen with beautiful Ming vases; possibly the ones which
can be seen today at Leeds Castle. We will be checking all this
information carefully before it is incorporated into evidence or
possible evidence.

Future events to look forward to include Professors Ted Bryant and
Dallas Abbott's trip to Stewart Island to conduct further research
into the comet that struck the ocean at 48.3º S, 166.4º E, destroying
Zhou Man's fleet. We also eagerly await the Paladin Invision
television documentary, as well as a 1 hour programme to be screened
on 17th April on Japanese television, based on Zheng He's fleets
visits to Australia and New Zealand.

Another important date to look forward to this year is the publication
of the 1421 UK paperback edition on March 2nd that will coincide with
the London Book Fair.

So, as you can see, 2004 has seen a very exciting start. We hope that
it continues this way, and look forward to hearing more in the future
from anyone out there who cares to partake in this exciting journey.

With best wishes for 2004,

If this is true why was smallpox not in Americas until after the Spanish
arrived. Surely the Chinese or Asian would have brought their diseases
with them too!

They did. Wiped out most of the continental population. Among
those destroyed were the ten million Norwegians in the midwest,
five of the lost tribes of Israel, the fourteen million surviving
Atlanteans, and numerous others. The only folks to survive
were the Indians who had only come to the Americas the week before
and still had their Asian immunities.

The proof of this is obvious. It was only the Indians who were
here to meet the Europeans. All the others were gone.

Who say they didn't in some areas. I guess you know that there are areas
where there was a tremendous rise in death during the 14th-15th century.

And of course, the complete absence of ANY sources from 1420s
Boston area, let alone sources describing pirates, need not
prevent such claims. Tells you what you need to know about the
historical method being used.

Sure. As everybody knows, when Columbus landed in Boston (in what is
now "Columbus Park"), he saw a Chinatown, the diretiest place in
downtown Boston. It is still there. :-)

did he met this gentelman? In some nursing home or in a mental institution?
Boston has a lot of them so probably some other amazing information is
waiting to be discovered.

Quote:
said this blue stone city had been
dismantled by the first English settlers and used as foundations for
their first houses,

Let me see. They picked the stones and carried them for 20+ miles over a
wild terrain to build their houses. An idea almost as interesting as
Chinese landing on a bank of Charles River and moving all the way to
Waterland to build a town in the middle of nowhere.

Quote:
and that the Junks had been blown up to prevent a
Chinese attack should they return.

Is there supossed to be any sense in what is written? I don't think so.
Check on the map where is Boston and where is Plymouth.

Quote:
On close analysis of the stones at
the village where our source lives, Gavin saw that they had very
unusual and distinctive cutting marks, exactly the same as on the
leading edges of stones which he had seen at Bimini and on stones in
the Miami ship Channel (which came from Bimini.)

So they were carried all the way from Miami? Not a problem. Half of the
wealthy elderly Massachusetsians spend winters in Florida and it is
definitely not a problem to carry couple of stones per trip in a trunk
of your car. Or did Chinese land in Miami as well?

BTW, hopefully, this chap does not insist that his house had been built
by the pilgrims?

Quote:
Incredibly Gavin was then told that the settlers were sure that the
original inhabitants of the area were Chinese

And this guy probably was among them so that he knows for sure?

Quote:
because they said that
in addition to the Junks they had found in Boston, they had records of
a huge Chinese fleet

So they met those Chinese personally and even blowing the Junks on
Charles River did not help? With fleet being huge, all MA should be
filled with the old Chinese buildings. How come that nobody saw them?
Oops, sorry, forgot about the Chinatown. Yes, this IS the evidience.
Place has to be really old to be THAT dirty.

that travelled from the Americas to England in
the 1420’s, en route to Muscovy.

I don't have problems with their travel to England but I can guarantee
that in 1420 it would be extremely difficult for any fleet to travel to
Muscovy: AFAIK, at this time Great Princedom of Moscow did not have an
access to any sea. Sorry, the old gentelman is obviously lying.....

Quote:
The Fleet had also visited
France and Portugal

All this on their way to "Muscovy"? I wonder what was their route.

Quote:
here they had been treated discourteously.

Of course. It was found that used rats to make "Beef Mongolian"....

n
contrast “The Dowager Queen” who was acting as Regent in
England was well disposed towards them. The Chinese delegation had
presented the Queen with beautiful Ming vases;

Made in Massachussets? Sure. A lot of them you can still find in the shops
of Chinatown....

Of course, the obvious question is: all nonsense above is a joke?

Doug,
and other that there were Chinese or Asian visitors in Boston area in 1420's
can be confirmed from other sources. They are described as pirates.

And of course, the complete absence of ANY sources from 1420s
Boston area,

It would be rather difficult to have such sources because the local
Indians did not write and almost definitely did not know the word
"pirates".

let alone sources describing pirates, need not
prevent such claims.

Sure. There can be a sinister WASPish plot with a purpose to discredit
the oppressed minorities. BTW, can monuments to Leif the Lucky
and Columbus (both in Boston) be considered as a proof that both of
them landed in the area.

BTW, taking into an account that L's monument is on a bank of
Charles River, can we assume that the piligrims mistook the Viking
boats for the Junks? For all that I know, they should be equally
familiar with both.

Alex,
you obviously hasn't read the documentations and information given by 'the
first settlers'. If you had you would have known that there were a
merchandise village where Boston is today. You would have known that it was
a place known by fishermen especially the Basques.
You would have known a lot more had you read the French sources as well.
