Universalism is the belief that Christ died for everyone... everyone is redeemed or will
be redeemed without exception. some go so far as to include the fallen angels and Satan
himself. since everyone without exception is redeemed or will be redeemed. the belief in
and preaching of Universalism calls God a liar in a number of ways.
one such way the Universalist's call God a liar is that there is no such thing as
Judgement Day in Universalism. another such way is that the ' social gospel ' is built
upon Universalism teaching that Christ died for everyone but one must invoke God on an
individual basis to get salvation for oneself.
these idea's are self-contradicting. atonement was made for mankind only and certain
among them at that, the elect and since angelic beings are without flesh and blood Christ
gave His flesh and blood as true payment for sin... no payment for sin has been made in
Christ's spirit being.
the social gospel promotes the idea that although Christ paid the penalty for sin
universally, the payment He made has only the potential to save and is not actual
payment... the individual must complete the circuit so to speak for His payment to be
effectual by the surrender of his obstinate will.
this idea tells the world by those who preach Universalism that salvation is by means of
co-redemption. surrender plus the blood of Christ results in redemption... redemption is
unreachable except man so allows. this gives man the boast of saying his personal
achievement saved him because he did it of his own free will...redemption then, is
provided for the smart, only.
this, logically, puts salvation well out of the reach of the mentally impaired. babies
dying at birth are left out and so are aborted fetuses. the ugliest part of Universalism
is that it offer's a Savior who can not save unless man allows Him to be God. they
actually preach saying " God is a gentleman and doesn't force Himself on anyone. "
they say this because they hold their free will above the power and purpose of God since
they do not believe God saves without their help and permission. God has so demonstrated
in His Word that there were at least four prophets elect unto salvation while yet fetuses
as well as Luke chapter four where Christs hearers tried to throw Him over a cliff for
preaching unconditional election.
that no one is saved by the will of man is evident in Jn. 1:12,13, 3:3, Acts 13:48 and
many other text. " I was found of them that sought me not; I was made manifest unto them
that asked not after me. " ( Ro. 10:20 ) asking Jesus to come into one's heart, in view
of this passage and many other's, is a demonic lie which is aimed at unseating Jesus
Christ from His throne and seating man in His place through his very smart gospel of
co-redemption. |
