Eric,
Please open an account for yourself at www.iranian.com and advertise this list, and your own story, over there.
Hi Wahid,
Thanks for your interest in this Unitarian Baha'i project of mine.
It'll be interesting to see what happens with it. Anything that'll
make the Nine Idols of Mount Carmel squirm in their infernal seats of
imaginary power and get some Baha'is to maybe grow up a little bit in
how they view religion, seems like a worthy pursuit to me.
Of course there is a tremendous amount of karmic burden in the Baha'i
Faith and things will have to play out until it's all burned off and
all the souls entrapped within that karmic vortex can finally escape.
I think one thing that needs to happen is for a reevaluation of the
role played by the "arch-Covenant Breaker" Ghusn-i-Akbar and an
understanding to emerge that the Abbasite/Shoghite tradition was a
very ego-driven, karma-heavy enterprise, especially because of their
policy of mass excommunications and in particular the excommunication
of almost the entire family of Baha'u'llah. Karma's a bitch, ain't
it? Baha'is will have to face their karma and pay it off through
atonement -- much of which will only come by correcting the historical
record and having "the high become low and the low become high" (i.e.
increased recognition of the beneficial aspects of Azali faith and
Unitarian Baha'i faith and their proponents, and a corresponding
increased recognition of the mistakes and downsides of Baha, Abbas,
and Shoghi). The Universe ever seeks balance and souls must seek it
consciously or else be condemned to return to play the same parts over
and over again in the cosmic play.
By the way, I'm trying to get the mailing address of Nigar Bahai
Amsalem, the granddaughter of Ghusn-i-Akbar. She's the woman who was
interviewed in that Israeli film from a couple years ago called
"Baha'is in My Backyard":
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q2F-mV4rsNA
Any thoughts on how I might get her address? I tried looking in an
online Hebrew Israeli telephone directory but was unable to find a
listing for her. I'd like to contact her to discuss some historical
issues regarding her grandfather and the original Unitarian Baha'i
movement.
Why do you think I should advertise the Unitarian Baha'i list on
iranian.com? Are there Baha'is over there, or people you think would
be interested?
How goes it with the neo-Bayani/Azali movement?
Peace,
Eric |
