POSTED ON BEHALF OF THE GUARDIAN OF THE BAHA'I FAITH
łWHEREUPON THE BURNING METEOR CAST THEM OUT . . . ˛ --Prophetic Words of
Bahašušllah in the Tablet of the Holy Mariner
To whom is Bahašušllah referring in this significantly prophetic Tablet?
He has prophetically referred to the fate that is destined to overtake a
future body of believers łin the land of exile.˛ who will pretend to be
members of a legitimate institution of the Bahaši Administrative Order which
His Son, as the Center of His Covenant and the inspired Architect of that
Order, will have bequeathed to the world in a divinely-conceived, sacred and
immutable Will and Testament, whereas, in fact, they will have not only
repudiated the major provisions of that Will but will have shamefully
discredited the writings of Shoghi Effendi concerning that Order and thus
would prove themselves unfaithful to the first Guardian of the Cause of God
whom Abdušl-Baha would appoint, and designate as the łCenter of the Cause˛
and the łsacred head˛ of the future Universal House of Justice and under
whose further provisions of that Will, the first Guardian would be
succeeded, without interruption, as long as the Dispensation of Bahašušllah
endured, by future Guardians, each of whom would be appointed łin his own
life-time˛ by his predecessor in Office.
Bahašušllah obviously foresaw and predicted that initially Hands of the
Cause who had been appointed by the first Guardian, would, following his
sudden and unexpected passing, lose faith in the Covenant, when they had
failed to discern the identity of his appointed successor, and these Hands
were then destined to faithlessly and treacherously put an end to the
Guardianship of the Cause of God and in its place, nefariously call for the
election of a substitute ill-gotten organization of their own making, in
which they would still retain the name of the Universal House of Justice and
whose members would incredulously deceive themselves into believing that
they would be invested with both the authority and functions of the
Guardianship, and thus ignobly, as emphasized by Bahašušllah: łhave desired
to ascend unto that state the Lord hath ordained to be above their
stations.˛
The members of this deformed and now misnamed and so-called Universal House
of Justice, with its seat in Haifa, would further foolishly delude
themselves into believing that this illicitly formed and obviously
counterfeit body could, with impunity, dispense with the presence of the
living Guardian, and notwithstanding, rightfully continue to identify itself
as the Universal House of Justice and still function as the infallible
Institution described in The Will and Testament of Abdušl-Baha.
It is highly significant that Bahašušllah foresaw this future tragic
development in the Faith and, in consequence, significantly enjoined future
Guardians of the Faith to take the following action against these flagrant
violators of the Covenant: łO guardian angels! Return them to their abode in
the world below.˛ This divine Commandment, the first three successive
Guardians of the Faith would be destined to accomplish through the
instrumentality of their respective writings in which they would clearly
provide undeniable evidence of the enormity of the violation of the Covenant
and Testament of Bahašušllah carried out by this illicit body calling itself
the Universal House of Justice and would reveal the extent to which its
members had, in effect, repudiated the major provisions of the Will and
Testament of Abdušl-Baha in their abandonment of the Guardianship of the
Cause of God
And it was because of the infidelity and treachery of the members of this
future illegitimate organization, destined to illicitly exercise supreme
control over the vast majority of the adherents of the Faith, that
Abdušl-Baha, had found it imperative to pen the following FOREWORD to the
Tablet of the Holy Mariner forewarning the believers about these łfuture
events˛ that had been clearly foreseen and foretold by Bahašušllah in this
prophetic Tablet:
łStudy the Tablet of the Holy Mariner that ye may know the truth and
consider that the Blessed Beauty hath fully foretold future events. Let
them who perceive, take warning!˛
Assuredly, the promised retributive arrival of that łBURNING METEOR˛ that is
destined to łcast them out,˛ and so ominously prophesied by Bahašušllah,
cannot now be long delayed.

Postscript: Certainly, Shoghi Effendi had been aware of the dire warning
issued by Abdušl-Baha in His Foreword to the Tablet of the Holy Mariner
(even mentioned briefly by him in passing in one of his statements) but it
should be obvious why he could never have informed the believers of the true
nature of this tragic development that was destined to overtake the Faith at
the World Center, following his passing in 1957, for he was engaged,
particularly as his ministry drew to a close, in a prodigious effort in
finally fulfilling the objectives outlined by Abdušl-Baha in the Tablets of
the Divine Plan and in achieving their implementation through the specific
goals he had outlined for the NSAšs of the world to respectively accomplish
during the Ten Year Global Crusade (1953-1963).
