Looks like those big wavy seismic charts that you'd posted a link to,
as of October 7, caused the largest volume landslide in Washington
state history.

It's the "whole Earth humming" that seems to suggest having those
100+GT (100+ gigatonnes of TNT) as seismic triggers taking place at
500+ km deep is pretty freaking spectacular seismic geology going on.

On average our Selene/moon contributes 2e20 N/sec of its Newtonian
tidal binding force, and that's only 55.5e12 kw.hr worth of applied
energy. Whenever Selene is aligned with the solar tidal force is
obviously much worse for us, and a bit worse yet if that alignment
also includes Jupiter or especially Venus.
