Topic:
Perfect for Halloween
The section of the Course on the mastery of love was slightly altered
before being published by FIP.
Tiny but crucial changes that are clearer in the original edit by Dr
William Thetford.
The ego wants us to deal with fear by "mastering" it - by masking it,
or surrounding it with ritual,
through self-control and or ridicule (like Halloween) -
rather than have us look at it directly in the Light
so it can be healed and let the ego's power
over us just fade away.
We will be looking at how the ego favors the control and masking of
fear so we can identify its many disguises - a devilish trick to play
on the ego but a very sweet treat for our real Self.
Take a few more steps in the direction of mastering love and join us
in this further undoing of the fright-filled mists we create but in
imagination!

“Fear Thoughts; Big and Little”
There can seem to be so many things to be afraid of, but is that
really true?
Could all the things I seem to be afraid of be really just one thing?
Why is it that one time I am afraid of something and the next I hardly
notice it?
Where do the fear thoughts come from and what am I supposed to do
with them?
I am looking at my fear thoughts and asking the Holy Spirit to show me
another way to see. I would love for you to join me in this
exploration of fear in the mind.
