The defeat of scientology on Second Life...

Scientology loves big buildings. Why not build a few on Second Life?

They have the resources. Why not?

The reason is that they would find it hard to isolate their own
members from the rest of us.

True. They could create a private area and keep everyone else out- but
in the end this would only impress the people already in the cult.

No. The cult was defeated in second life because they would not
release control of their members.

Someone did set up a fake Church group inviting people to get in touch,
prove they were members in good standing and learn the secret location of
the virtual Org. I don't think there were any bites on that hook though!

There was a Scientology guild on my World of Warcraft server some time
ago. Yeaaaaaah.... too many channers play WoW for that guild to stick
around long ^^;;
