According to the article written by Roger Dearnaley (available on
lashtal) then about a 3rd of the Book of the Law (Liber Al vel Legis)
is included in the Gardnerian BOS, and other Wiccans have quietly
confirmed this to me.

The structure of Gardnerian Wicca is based on that of the OTO as it
stood near the time of Crowley's death (presumably without the
opportunity of advancement to any inner school?).

How do Wiccans feel about the inclusion of parts of the BOTL in the
Gardnerian BOS - and in what way do you think the interpretation of
the material differs in Wicca from that of the OTO/A.:A.:?

For instance - people have told me that wicca is very rule bound, and
has quite a few 'thou shall' & 'thou shall not' rules and strictures
to it which would be an anathma to Thelemites.

Also - do you feel that Wicca suffers from a lack of an inner
school?

The BOS is theatrical garbage that could have been written by
Walt Disney, and the BOTL isn't much better.

Gardner and Crowley together couldn't spell their way out of
a wet paper bag.

Gardner was just an amateur scholar and Crowley couldn't even
cure himself of a physical condition that required him to become
a junkie.

Wicca suffers from a lack of magickal substance, period. It is
just a role-playing social club.
