So what's the strangest/silliest thing that a non-pagan has ever said
to you concerning your religion?
I've had people look at my penticle and think I was Jewish. I usually
reply that I'm only 5/6 Jewish, before I explain it to them.
One person, who I admit never struck me as particularly bright anyway,
seemed to think that Wicca was a "gay" thing.

I don't have a religion. A religion involves second-hand, beliefs
from people who supposedly have abilities and knowledge that
I don't, who claim to be necessary intermediaries between the
average person and 'the divine'. Priests, in-other-words.
Magick is not a religion, it is a science. The only real science.

I note that your subject here is typical of new-age role-players
like the so-called 'neo-pagans': shallow and superficial and
concerning matters cosmetic.
Because that's all there is to 'neo-paganism'. It's a role-playing
social club of people who think that wearing 'witchy' costumes
and spouting psuedo-esoteric clap-trap and performing theatrical
rituals that came from Walt Disney more than anywhere else, makes
them real magicians.
It's rather like all of the Liberals who claim to be
'Environmentalists' while having ecological footprints that are
200 times as large as the planetary average.
The degree of self-delusion involved in both instances is
significant, nearing the pathological.
