Readers may be interested in my Salmon on the Thorns web page
http://www.nfld.com/~dalton/dtales.html where I claim to be similar
to some past religious figures including Taliesin and Jesus. I have
not yet researched the Persian Maitreyan tradition to see if there
are any similarities there, but feel free to let me know if there are.

The notion of Maitreya is

from the Buddhist tradition
and not even remotely
"Persian." The word has
become a generic noun in
east Asia -- e.g. "a
maitreya" is a sincere,
wise, and benevolent king.
The "Share International"
cult of Benjamin Creme is
actually in the European
esotericist tradition of
Blavatsky, Besant, Bailey,
etc. -- inveterate
borrowers of and
eloborators upon various
eastern traditions, in
Creme's case with
generous dollops of Fabian
Socialist ideology and UFO
lore.
