there is no such doctrine in the Bible that Jesus Christ Eternal God failed at Calvary.
it's just another scheme of co-redemption concocted by co-redeemer's. it is to say that
one must burn for a while to purge the sins Christ failed to pay for. such seeks to say
that man takes part in his redemption by his suffering in Purgatory as though human or
spiritual misery atones for sin.
there is only one thing which forgives sin and that is the blood of Christ.
this IS the sacrifice set by God and the Bible teaches emphatically that nothing else is
acceptable to Him. along with that sacrifice it is only those who's names He's written in
the Lamb's Book of Life who will ever have the blood of the sacrifice sprinkled on their
sin sick soul's. upon these He has mercy, the rest... He hardens. Ro. 9:18.
in the realm of Catholicism there are many doctrines engineered to bypass the Word of
God to keep the people under the thumb of man made substitutes. the typical Catholic
lives in superstition and paranoia wondering if he's committed a secret sin.
he bows down before his many idols supposing these will aid him in his journey through
life to live a clean Catholic life trying as it is to avoid being caught with an
un-confessed sin. his denomination keeps him coming back and coming back to the same old
place... his personal liability for sin.
this in itself should alert the Catholic that he has not entered " His rest. "
but it doesn't. in Christ Jesus is absolute cleansing from sin as He applies the blood
of the covenant to the heart of His elect one. it is at that moment the elect one knows
in his heart of hearts that he has been cleansed of sin and has eternal life... the
indwelling Holy Spirit tells him that. Ro. 8:16.
the conscience assurance of complete forgiveness is manifest to the elect one only
through Jesus Christ. Jn. 14:6. any other approach to God is futile. |
