The desperate situation:
The Scriptural gospel that Christ showed
from heaven to the world to begin
the Protestant Reformation is hardly being
heard today, and in its place is a very popular
false gospel of "salvation" by surrender
that saves no one at all.
The wonderful news:
There is still time to believe the real gospel
to be ready for the coming of Christ:
The moment Christ gives us faith to stop trusting our
"righteousness" and start trusting him to regard his
own perfect righteousness ours, we have eternal life.
When Christ shows you in Scripture that he came
into the world as our Righteous Substitute,
and took our place on the cross,
paid for our sins as though his,
so that we could have eternal life
as though his righteousness were ours,
and then rose again,
then he will give you the faith to stop trusting
in your own supposed "righteousness"
and start trusting him to count as though yours,
his absolutely perfect righteousness,
so that you have eternal life.
