You can all blame this one on Dan Miller
who talked me into playing the role
of Mother Earth for the festival that
the Fridhgard will be hosting July 11th
on Saltspring Island, BC.

Mother Earth will be making an
appearance in this fashion...

Take care,

Ah yes, that's what it'll be alright. LOL..

Mother Earth will be carted around
in a gauze covered wagon. I asked
who will be the ass to pull the cart.
Two fellows have volunteered! ;-)

Then Mother Earth will step out of the
wagon and the children will be given
goodie-bags.

As for Mother Earth's costume...it's
amazing what uses can be made
of curtains and a table cloth. LOL...

Take care,
Heidi

The way Tacitus described the Nerthus procession.
Cool.

...and easy on the pocketbook. The
curtains from the thrift store: under $5.
The table cloth from Field's $10.00.
The trim from the Dollar Store...under
$5.00. So, this sumptious costume
cost less than $20.00. What a deal!

Thanks, Doug. I feel really great. I've got
lots of energy and I'm busy doing all sorts of
stuff. Now, I also feel well enough to battle
that middle age spread! Arghh...I've already
lost 11 lbs. in a two week period. I've
got more to lose! This is one case where
I actually look forward to losing something! ;-)

Take care,
Heidi

Mother Nature is Mother Earth, the Underground Kingdom, is Earth, not
someplace in the Heavens across the Rainbow Bridge

I have a Wring Wraith Banshee Costume I got for about that, Black Over
Garment, Green Cape, and all.
The Black Over Garment was actually a Left Over Halloween "Scream" Costume, I
got for Basically nothing.
