How can it be their church, they number view, and this so far is about one
church in one place, not the thousands of UMC world wide. They loose no
matter what, as the minister can not stop a non-homosexual pastor from
preaching what the Bible says, and they be all together in one place to hear
the Gospel, and the Holiness teachers of the founders of the Methodist
Church. Show them a seat, and surround them with bible believing saints
that will not let up till they get saved from their sin, or leave for a
safer place. |

We who call ourselves evangelical or orthodox Christians, in our despair
over the denial of the basic truth of the biblical story by some of our
bishops and theologians, fail to remember the promise of Jesus "to be
with us always" - - and He is with us. <snipped for space>

We who call ourselves evangelical or orthodox Christians, in our despair
over the denial of the basic truth of the biblical story by some of our
bishops and theologians, fail to remember the promise of Jesus "to be
with us always" - - and He is with us. He has never left us and we need
not be afraid. We are not called to save 'the faith', we are called to
live the faith and witness to Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord. We do
this by what we teach and how we live as faithful disciples. The
Confessing Movement came into existence to encourage faithful response
to the command of Jesus 'to make disciples' and to 'observe all that he
commanded'. Jesus is Lord and He is with us always

AND I SAID TO THE MAN WHO STOOD AT THE GATE OF THE YEAR:
'GIVE ME A LIGHT THAT I MAY TREAD SAFELY INTO THE UNKNOWN'.
AND HE REPLIED:
'GO OUT INTO THE DARKNESS AND PUT YOUR HAND INTO THE HAND OF GOD.
THAT SHALL BE TO YOU BETTER THAN LIGHT AND SAFER THAN
A KNOWN WAY.'
(From the poem "God Knows" written by Minnie Louise Haskins, 1875- )
(Quoted by King George VI in a Christmas Broadcast, 25th December 1939)

Sorry, I was thinking it was about the "homos" that Albee was posting about,
and membership in local churches, not the Annual Conference. I do hope it
will get things back to where they were, and remove Pastors that do not
follow the teachings they said they would when they joined the UMC.

That's the point I have been trying to make all along in a nut shell.
