non-christian guilt on group

I've noticed there are a lot of non-Christians on this group. One has
to wonder why they spend so much time on a group whose topic they
claim to not care about. Hmmm. One also has to wonder how they would
react if all the Christians on this group went to post on alt.atheism
or such (an idea?).

Personally, I think they are all just convicted of their sins, and,
since they cannot attack God, they, like a bully, pick on the weakest
Christian they can find to make themselves feel better.

I would imagine that their very presence here indicates that, in some form
or another, they DO care about the subject. They might despise
Christianity, or they might simply be interested in it, but those who
genuinely do not care about something would, as you suggest, not waste
their time on it.

There are some here who revile Christianity and everything it stands for.
But that in itself is a long way from simply not caring about it.

towards everything Christianity stands for? Or do they just use the
moment to strengthen their weary reviling spirit (by hating just the
thought of an inward look)? Since they aren't allowed to question
their own selves-as per their despising of the similar Christian
discipline of repentance. (Which is very logical.)

Since I am not amongst those who hate Christianity, this would be a
difficult question for me to answer. However, if I read you correctly in
that you believe such people hate Christianity because it would ask them to
look inside themselves, then I suggest your explanation is rather
simplistic.

If I have misunderstood the thrust of your comments then I apologise.

Many christians (and other cult members) do post in alt.atheism. Although
they usually give up when they figure out they are arguing a losing battle.

Or maybe you are starting to realize your religion is full of holes and
instead of trying to defend it you feel you need to go after people with
opposing views?

It would seem to me that such a ferver would encourage
self-examination as to their own motives; and end up asking themselves
questions to explain that not-so-logical reaction. Why the *Hate*
towards everything Christianity stands for? Or do they just use the
moment to strengthen their weary reviling spirit (by hating just the
thought of an inward look)? Since they aren't allowed to question
their own selves—as per their despising of the similar Christian

To see his fellow human beings refraining from grovelling to hundreds of
primitive imaginary gods - that would make atheists feel better.

Alleluia

The atheist NG's have many visitors from Xtian fundies [not many
promoting the other imaginary gods though] so no reason why we cannot try
to reason with the brain washed here.

'One good turn......' you know!
