appearances are, that, though a large percentage of people
under 35 years of age voted for the president, not so many,
if any at all, found positions in the admnistration.

i remeber a bit in the early years
of the Clinton administration;

"don't trust anyone under 35"

and maybe, apprently,

that mentallity has carried over.

supposedly a lot of under 35 people
who 'worked' in the election

did not find that this 'work' translated
to a position in teh administration,

and so, they are still hanging out in coffee shops
around dupont circle or K street or thereabouts.

come on, give me that glassy, doey eyed look...

i remember now, it was all that 'anti-war' bit

there was all this vociferous opposition to the war/s

and college kids are prime targets
for carrying signs and stuff and
'protesting' things like the war/s

and all of a sudden,

not a peep out of anyone

and no jobs either...

and the war/s go on, bizniss as usual...

albeit, i stopped calling that thing in iraq a "war"
about 32 hours after they rolled in to Badgag and
set up shoppe.

so, maybe it's time to just go ahead and

change how that thing is described

so, everybody stays happy.

cuz they're staying anyway

"so, what's your point?"

oh, whether age is an issue or =not=,

apparently, some under 35 people who

worked tirelessly for the candidacy

came to warshington with some expectation that

they would be rewarded for their services

and, as yet, that reward has not materialized

and standard entrenched bureaucrats have

filled most positions, and standard

entrenched bureaucrats are filling

most positions, and standard entrenched

bureaucrats are filling most of the positions.

by "most" read "all"

[filed in triplicate of course...]

nobody -really- expected some sort of

grand revamping of the bureuacracy

but, it was -pitched- that way

....yeah yeah yeah, i have trouble
spelling bureuacrat effectively...

i know i know; "my hands are tied in red tape"

maybe =you= be gettin' a dose of 'reality'

welcome to america...

now, hurry up and wait

we'll save you a place in line

just remember, don't -argue- with the bureaucracy...

that makes it work =slower=

paint a great big smile on your face

if you have to...

you know; this is the grande =movement=

that's comin' to warshington to do a number on the place

and =change= the way bizniss if carried out...

it was -pitched- that way

what really seems to be -materializing-

is a chamber of frontloaded favors

that have been waiting on the back burner

in congressional offices for -more- than a decade

are all rushing into the muzzle and backfiring

the whole truckload right in your face

so, don't sweat it, ...too much

i did mention this before,

firing three bullets at once is bad enough

but, trying to fire -any- bullets through

a cruddy chamber is a backfire waiting to happen.

but, apparently, everybody -figured- the chamber was clean and clear

and, they been chompin' at the bit to fire away any way

so, they didn't check on whether they -had- the 'consensus' at hand

-before- they started shooting, and, instead simply =assumed=

such a consensus was present.

but this ain't got nuthin' to do with

the inexperience of the under 35 crowd.

it's ok, don't kick yourself

we don't need that either

unless your self becomes sort of a drug

and then you may need to kick it...

like as if the 'adulation' ceases

and you get this 'crash'

and you need a 'fix'

don't get all cranky...

don't be a sorehead

"keep your sunny side Up Up..."

and just remeber;

"happy days are here again..."

"the sky above is clear again..."

but, you -ain't- got no 'unstoppable mandate'...

minor correction;

you can 'argue' with the bureaucracy

just don't 'get mad at' the bureaucracy

cuz it zaps your energies and

it tends to =slow down= the 'process'

'argue' in the sense of stating a well coordinated case

not 'argue' in the sense of yell and scream

at other flesh and blood people.

but, if you get 'cranky'

cuz yo uneed an adulation fix

you're more apt to 'argue' and not 'argue'
