A self described witch tells about the joy she has for going skyclad
(naked).

There is nothing like self-blessing as Z Budapest teaches, but there
is another, more simple way as close as nature herself. Witches from
time immemorial used to anoint themselves in the buff, naked, or as we
goddessy womyn call it, skyclad, with flying unguent, and take off on
astral trips into the night sky. . . the proverbial witch on her
broomstick. Besom, bosom??

As a skyclad goddess witch, I bless myself daily by being comfortable
in my own skin. I can remember nothing more freeing than doing the
vacuuming naked in my own living room with the curtains drawn, letting
my body breathe as I felt the workout of the perspiration and the soft
air pour around my body. I always cleaned in the buff, and then, when
all the dirt was done, took a long hot bath cleansing my body and
dressed in a drafty Muu-Muu to keep the air circulating around myself.
I live with two men, one my brother, one my friend. It is HOT in the
town I live. So, I close up the house, and walk around skyclad. My
brother found it unusual at first and now it’s nothing to him. Not
threatening, not unhealthy. It is So Healthy to be comfortable in
one’s own skin. Our body skin is the largest organ we have, 75
percent in size compared to others. She needs to breathe as much as
the lungs. I jump at the chance to live in my skin. My boyfriend does
not find it a sexual thing, or unusual. He sees me as happy and
relaxed, as much as him in his suspenders bare chested on the couch in
the living room.

Yes, I swim naked in the local spa at my gym. The reactions I get
from other women, especially the crones, are of delight. They accept
my explanation that I’ve saving my suit from wear and tear. Imagine
the freedom womyn would have if we were free to be in our own bodies,
various sizes, shapes, and weights, and we could use water, earth, air
and sky to cleanse ourselves. Yes, we would take up more space!!!
Yes, we would be happier!!! No, we would not need flying unguent.
The trip to loving oneself as one comes into the world and as one
leaves the world is the best self-blessing of all.

As a skyclad Goddess Witch, I have personal love, freedom, and space.
My body is beloved, my very own living altar to the Goddess. I only
wish that if I walked into my backyard in the raw, I would not be
arrested as a sex offender and registered by the police. To feel the
loving air and sun and moon and sky on my own flesh is to feel the
kiss of the living Goddess. To walk barefoot is the first step for
most of us, perhaps. To sleep under clean sheets with clean skin is
another. Here is my field of clover. I invite you to join me, take a
dip, toes first, wiggle a bit, there, it’s easy peasy, now you’re
in!!! You’re a skyclad Goddess Witch too!!!

Hi, Sister

It´s a pleasure reading your post. What a release! Do you remember how
many times the Goddess was portrayed naked on paintings and statues?
Many many times! Mainly Aphrodite/Venus It´s a real signal about
sacredness of our bodies! A connection with our freedom and self-
steem.

Oh Solocrone, I laughed and hooted with pleasure when I read your post
and especially when I saw your mischievous grin – I keep coming back
to that grin and laughing! I LOVE your article and yes, you are SO
right about the freedom of walking around skyclad, especially in one’s
own house.

And for anyone reading this who’s wondering about the self-blessing,
you’ll find it in The Holy Book of Women’s Mysteries, towards the end
of the second chapter. Read it! Try it! I highly recommend it as a way
of affirming and maintaining a healthy self-esteem and a real sense of
the sacredness of our woman-body.

Blessings!

I completely agree with everything you said, the sacredness of a
woman’s body is just incredble and I personally believe the most
beautiful thing on Earth. I find it’s more nature and earthy to be
skyclad and connection with the earth is more nature, I find not only
on a spiritual level skyclad is better but the fact it’s more
comfortable and the freedom attained is something like no other, I
however am under the scrutenous views of the society and everyone. I
don’t see it possible to be skyclad at all which is horrible. Why
should we be forced into clothes? It would eventually pose as a
learning tool anyway, imagine the impact it would have on children,
being able to see themselves and their bodies as something sacred
which would then pass onto adulthood. So many men and women are self
conscous bout their bodies which can take a toll on their minds and
bodies and actions.

As a witch (male) myself, who practises skyclad, I'm totally on her
side. I'm very skeptical about one point though? She's saying she
can swim nude at her spa at her gym? Where exactly is she living? It
would be nice if this were legal, but I fail to see how there wouldn't
be complaints about her.

I was wondering about that myself. Is it only a female gym. I can't
see this happening in a public co-ed gym. She only mentioned other
women at the gym though. Still you would think there would be
complaints.

That's wacky. Wearing clothes or not, the same bodies wind up in the
water.

Or do you think swimsuits are magic?

Anna....you woke up from your nap after drifting off the radaar
screen..,..by saying women being admitted to mens Christian pools to
swim was a health dept rule.....you ready for this....once upon a time
in america when social nakedness among the opposite sexes was a
possiblilty....it was a given and understanding among all people of
the earth that it was sinful and no need to explain it in the
newspapers .....never was a mention of being for health
reasons......however if you were not alive in those days....please
forgive as all mention of sin has been removed from text ....to
protect the children from feeling guilty about murdering and raping
and exposing their crotches......i suppose the new explanation is
ok....we have discovered that....he he ha ha.... illicit sex does
start occcurring when social nudity happens and this can be a health
hazard as there are bad diseases that can be transferred when sex is
happening among strangers....which is what you were
thinking ....right.....if so ...my apology.....jz

From a health point of view the best is a freshly washed nude body. Swimwear
is far more likely to act as a source of infection than any sort of
protection from it.

David.

David....are you saying the royal crown has not been able to cure that
infection problem....just check the local hospital and see what they
do to control the infections from swim wear.....i know common sense is
not one of your great attributes...jz

Let me put it this way: you can't go berefoot or without a shirt
into a resteraunt so i'd think going nude would fall into the same
category.  (You've seen the signs "No shirt No shoes No service.")

This is in the US of A.

-T.

They seem to have no problem with Korean Spas (in the United States)
with Health Codes. Most Korean spas have at least in some parts of
the spa separated sex nude bathing areas.

Yes, I swim naked in the local spa at my gym.

How does this local spa stay in existence and not
get shut down by the health department?

I would think it would be a violation of the health
code.

Because?????????

Let me put it this way: you can't go berefoot or without a shirt
into a resteraunt so i'd think going nude would fall into the same
category.  (You've seen the signs "No shirt No shoes No service.")

They seem to have no problem with Korean Spas (in the United States)
with Health Codes.  Most Korean spas have at least in some parts of
the spa separated sex nude bathing areas.- Hide quoted text -

Anna....we are talkin bout opposite sex nudity in rec nude right.....i
see no problem with same sex nudity as the ymca has always been that
way when the ladies are not present.....of course the homos usually
take em over and no one goes there but homosexuals.....but homos are
like a forgotten society....if they do their thing with just them
around then who cares.....but in the case of nude beaches they are not
the only ones around.....jz

Of course it doesn't fall into the same category.

Certain restaurants have no problem serving people without shoes or
shirts. It depends on what sort of place it is. A hot-dog joint
adjacent to a beach, for example, may serve people coming in off the
sand wearing just bathing suits.

Regardless, it has nothing to do with health codes. Not wearing
clothes does not automatically make a person more of a health hazard.

That's not a universal policy, and it certainly is not a health code
related policy.
