That's about aesthetics, not health.

This is in the US of A.

Yes, and?

David.

Show me a cite of the health code that specifically allows
nudity. In fact show me where the decency laws allow nudity.
Around here in this part of the US of A you'd get arrested
for indecent exposure.

And, in my part of the US, not.

They seem to have no problem with Korean Spas (in the United States)
with Health Codes.  Most Korean spas have at least in some parts of
the spa separated sex nude bathing areas.

I don't believe we have any around here in this corner of the US of A.

Which corner of the US of A are you talking about? I am pretty good
with internet searches and can see if you are indeed correct.

there is no doubt that the health dept has a legit reason to ban
nudity in resturants because the clothes serve as a diaper
effect....who would want to sit where a nude person sit.......and that
goes for out side also because there are benches and chairs in public
places and the clothes serve the same purpose there also......jz

One of *those* kind of people, huh?  Won't sit on the toilet seat.  Do

Great we should have more people swimming nude then they
can join the kids in peeing in the water and who knows what

You probably don't wipe, either.  And you think that your swimsuit
somehow keeps it all in when you swim in the pool.  Good thing the
chlorine kills the germs because, no, the swimsuit doesn't keep the
water out, or the other stuff in.

So you need to replace "used" with "sat on." A concern that is not
entirely unreasonable.

On the other hand, people give each other things with naked hands all
the time. Do you refuse to take something from someone's ungloved
hand?

Quote:
If they're not wearing underwear or anything else I want
the surface sterilized before I use it.

See above. Do you require sterilization of a pencil prior to using it
if the previous user's hands were uncovered?

Quote:
But again, you stressed health reasons. And I see no reasons why this
would be a problem health wise.

I wouldn't want to touch any surface where the nude body had touched,

See above.

Quote:
especially if they were sitting on it.

So, it's not just nude people sitting on things that has you rattled.

Quote:
People wear underwear for a reason.

How does wearing underwear protect you from, say, shaking hands that
have recently covered a mouth during a sneeze?

Quote:
And you mentioned local health codes
but like I said you go to a Korean spa (in the US even)

We have no Korean spas around here.

German spas frequently involve generations of naked people of both
sexes hanging out together.

And they have health codes.

Quote:
So, while of course there would be other issues relating to this,
health codes shouldn't be one of them. In fact many people feel that
swimming suits dirty the water with detergent and stuff.

Great we should have more people swimming nude then they
can join the kids in peeing in the water and who knows what
else they put in the water.

Oh, right... only naked people pee in the water.

It could be a fair assumption. People who assume that others do
certain things may be making excuses for their own actions.

Um, huh? Think before you write: what about Christians who chuck a mental
at being where Wiccans have been? You of all people should know what it
feels like to be marginalised by society. What's nudity got to do with lack
of sanitary behaviour?

There is only one reason: for incontinency. Most people don't suffer from
it.

Quote:

Then if you are so paranoid about it, why not just swim in the ocean or in
your backyard pool (if you have one)? Any kid who pees in the water in
swimming pools ought to be pulled out and evicted. In the UK they now put a
chemical in the water so when anyone pees in it it immediately turns a
different colour so they know who's done it.

Of course it doesn't fall into the same category.

Certain restaurants have no problem serving people without shoes or
shirts.
Around here in this part of the US of A it's the health
department that has the problem and they have the
power to shut them down.

Not in either Tennessee or Kentucky.
Can you document the existance of such a Health Department requirement
wherrever it is you live?

Of COURSE you can go into restaurants without shoes or shirt!
There are many that allow it.
Most health codes require SERVERS to wear shoes and shirt.
The choice about customers is usually up to the owners.

Swimming is done in the nude in many places.
Here in Seattle, we have monthly swims NUDE in Seattle Public Pools.

Government and Laws never "allow" anything!
They are all about NOT allowing certain things.
In many places in the US of A, public nudity, lacking lewdness or obscenity,
is NOT illegal.
