emotion.
Encouragement should be delivered with great enthusiasm.

Ummm.. Even measured manner. Cold can be too stinging to be effective.
Enthusiasm is good, except for some overexcitable dogs and humans, who
maybe should only be encouraged with the slightest nod of the head.
