Why would I want to be in Indiana at all, much less for so silly a

Good point, but most of their license plates say "In God we Trust,"
Hard to tell. IN has many other license plates that don't.
While they do have others, the "God" plates are clearly in the majority and
the others cost $15 or more. |

I've already given you the meaning that I ascribe to the IN license
plates. I find them mildly humorous.
And meaningless.
I find them offensive.
Then do whatchagodda do to get them eliminated.
Though I must caution you -- the fact that You are offended by them
isn't going to be received as a terribly good argument for eliminating
them.
You have no particular Right to be unoffended.
Good, I think I'll have "God Doesn't Exist" printed on mine LP. |

Your Constitutional Rights aren't violated at all. You aren't injured
in any particular way because someone wants to put an essentially
meaningless slogan on a license plate.
It is not meaningless to some fools
Appparently you count yourself among them, since you seem to attribute
Meaning to it too. I don't.
The mere fact that someone else differentially attributes a meaning to
a slogan does not require that you either do so or even acknowledge
it.

I do indeed believe that it's a meaningless phrase, and the matter has
been legally settled long since.
Have you addressed the font differences?
No. They are, if anything even More meaningless than the phrase
itself.
I don't get het up about font sizes. YMMV |

It is not at all clear that it is done "using taxpayer money" either.
Nearly as I can tell, auto owners pay the cost of the plates
voluntarily. Please make the case that the plates are sold at a loss
to taxpayers.
As I understand it this is on all plates there and no option is
offered.
See the previously cited URL to negate what you understand. |

not according to the settlement of the matter. It is more general, to
the degree that it is essentially meaningless.
Perhaps you can argue that it is meaningless if the font was the same for
all the words like its use on money, but the font is very different for "God
Trust" and "In We." The effective reading, especially from a distance is
"God Trust" which does not enjoy "civil deism" protection.
So, if I understand you correctly, your Main Complaint is about the
font size? |

You understand incorrectly. The standard plate, the IGWT plate, and the
Lincoln bicentennial plate are all available without extra charge.
Persons registering a vehicle can select any of the three.
Plus there's a plethora of special interest, organizational, and
personalized plates available - some at extra charge and some at no
extra charge to qualified individuals.

Perhaps you can bother to describe what you would see as a violation of the
Establishment Clause - aside from the obvious like declaring that the nation
was Southern Baptist or something. How about what on a license plate would
bother you - at taxpayers expense?
Nearly as I've been able to winkle out, by going to various state
motor vehicle bureaus, no slogan on a license plate is at taxpayer
expense. Auto owners pay the entire cost of the plates, plus a tad
more.
A simple test to see if this is, in fact, religiously neutral is to
try and get a plate which contradicts the state-sanctioned religion.
And if it is not religiously neutral then it is illegal.
