My friend Jim Fidler, who is part Cherokee, recently released a reggae
CD entitled Revolution Time. On it he has the short track
Cherokee Chant Intro (Cherokee Morning Song) followed by
the longer track Cherokee Chant.
The lyrics to Cherokee Chant are:
Chorus:
Can you change the world?
Can you make a difference?
Can you change the world?
Can you make a difference?
We know no victory when we play their game.
They make the rules that put the people to shame.
United nations will never see,
first nations only wanna be free.
Chorus
They day Columbus was a righteous man?
He crossed the ocean with his bible in hand.
If genocide and slavery are the godly way,
children, let this be discovery day.
Chorus
The world you live in is in your mind.
Don't let them tell you 'bout their linear time.
The wise shall be foolish and the foodish wise.
Tell your brothers that it's time to rise.
Chorus
For more information on the CD including song samples have
