That post was full of subtle lies.

For one, it tried to portray the Biblical role of voluntary
submission as "subservient", as if for a person to voluntarily
rank themselves under someone else, would make them even less
than a servant. That is a lie, and no one operates by that
standard in real day to day life. If you followed that lie to
its logical conclusion, there couldn't be any more authority
of any kind, whether in government, business, or the family.

From a Biblical perspective, all believers are equal as
creatures of God, in their standing as children of God, and as
heirs of Christ (Gen. 3; Gal. 3; Eph. 1). Equality in
standing, however, does not translate into uniformity of roles
and functions. God is not a God of confusion, but of order,
and institutions like government, business, or the family
cannot function in a state of anarchy.

Just because you are equal as a citizen of the United States,
for example, doesn't mean everyone gets to operate as the
president of the United States. Likewise, equality as an
employee of a company doesn't mean everyone gets to operate as
the CEO. In each case, their has to be a duly appointed
leader, and others voluntarily ranking themselves under that
leadership. The same is true in the church and family.

According to the Bible, God's established order is for the
husband to operate as the head, and the wife to voluntarily
rank herself under her husband. (Ephesians 5; Colossians 3; 1
Peter 3). It also teaches women are not supposed to teach or
exercise authority over a man (1 Tim. 2:12ff.; 3; Titus,
etc.).

That doesn't mean they are not equal in their standing with
God, or that they are "subservient". It means they choose to
obey God by voluntarily putting themselves under their
husband's authority, just as any other man or woman goes to
work and voluntarily puts himself under the authority of his
supervisor.

Before a couple gets married, they should know what their
potential spouse believes about this, and not marry someone
who does not agree with their understanding of what the Bible
teaches.

Have you heard Christ died for our sins, and God raised Him
from the dead? Did you know God saves you from hell and
gives you eternal life through faith in this finished work alone,
not your merits (Jn. 3:16; 1 Cor. 15:1-3; Eph. 2:8-10; 2 Thess.
1:8-9)? This is so man cannot boast, and God alone gets the
glory (Eph. 2:8-9).

The biblical role is MANDATORY subservience for women. Women are told to be
subservient by the text in Genesis right through to Paul. Jesus' treatment
of women is different.

Except if you happen to be a SLAVE like Onesimus who is ordered back to his
slave master by Paul (See Philemon).

Where is it "voluntary" ????? It is not a woman's CHOICE but a COMMAND
given by men.
