British Statesman Urges U.S. to Protect Sovereignty

In 1776 Paul Revere warned his fellow colonists that the redcoats were
coming. Today it's a different story: a British aristocrat is warning
Americans that the reds are on our doorstep.

In the past few days his lordship, Christopher Walter Monckton, 3rd
Viscount Monckton of Brenchley, has assumed the role of a modern-day Paul
Revere to warn the people of a nation he reveres that they are about to lose
their freedom and that America is about to allow its chief executive to
surrender our sovereignty.

This is no idle warning from an idle member of the idle peerage. Lord
Christopher Monckton is an experienced statesman, once an adviser to
Britain's Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher, and brilliant scientist who has
exposed the idiocy of the belief that the planet is in the process of being
barbecued by global warming.

Lord Monckton has taken the trouble to read all 200 pages of the
so-called climate treaty Barack Obama plans to sign in Copenhagen in
December after a Democrat-controlled United States Congress enacts the cap
and trade bill already approved by the House and now awaiting final passage
in the U.S. Senate.

His frightening assessment of that treaty, due to become law of the
land upon Senate passage, is that it abandons the national sovereignty for
which tens of thousands of Americans have died to protect for 200 years and
makes the United States of America totally subservient to an international
elite, all in the name of protecting the nation from a gigantic hoax known
as global warming.

Anybody who has followed my campaign to warn my fellow Americans over
the past 12 years knows that the evidence conclusively proves that the
planet is not undergoing a continuing and dangerous warming but is instead
now well into a cooling phase that could develop into a new little ice age.
But that's not the point I want to make here. It's not the temperature and
where it's headed that concerns me. It's how the global-warming hysteria is
being used as an instrument of the tyranny about to be imposed on us.

At a recent conference on global warming, Lord Monckton said "When the
Founding Fathers of this great nation met in that hot summer long ago in the
City of Brotherly Love to craft the noble Constitution of the United States,
they were building their great nation upon the solid foundation of your
Declaration of Independence.

"Independence! This winter, if the United States signs up to the
Treaty of Copenhagen, her independence - and our freedom - will be gone
forever. If Thomas Jefferson were alive today, he would be turning in his
grave."

He went on to say "Last year the president of the Czech Republic told
this conference, 'It's not about climatology - it's about freedom.' This
year the president of the European Union told us the same. Two statesmen
with one message."

Understand this: the treaty President Obama plans to sign in
Copenhagen abolishes the United States of America as a free and independent
nation, rendering it into a mere political subdivision of a world
government. If he does commit this act of national suicide, the treaty will
be either approved or disapproved by the U.S. Senate which must vote on it
before it becomes law of the land. Controlled as it is by Obama's party, it
will approve it and the United States of America and its citizenry will no
longer be free and independent.

That's what's at stake here. It's not some boogie man hiding under our
national bed. It's real and it's in our face. Unless we rise up and tell
Barack Obama that it he signs away our freedom and independence in
Copenhagen we will see to it that he will be impeached and driven from
office.

It's up to the American people. It's up to us.

Faugh 'a ballagh.
