Contributing arms and men makes sense only when a long-term [or at
least more than a short-term] bloc is contemplated. That, even alone,
would exceed the bounds of a proper united front.

You think the intensity of your feeling vouchsafes your correctness,

go further than I by actually supporting, not just defending,

inhibit socialism's advance. (Actually *read* the article about
Grynzspan you posted here. [And don't redefine terrorism to include
expropriations.])

You should take pause that your irrationalism has already led you to
some very reactionary positions. Your obsession with child abuse and
your willingness to encourage the police state in the name of
"defending the children" is as reactionary as racism.

Mrs Buckley said she was prompted to become an active member of MAKO from

could make a difference with sentencing and make it a safer place for
kids."

But perhaps it would be more appropriate to extend the Spartacist
Vietnam slogan to China and Iran. Of course OTOH, the Chinese nuclear
shield is far less imposing than the Soviet was.

The nuclear shield idea didn't get much critique at the time from
Spart League opponents. Maybe I can belatedly correct the omission.
The nuclear-shield demand was a liberal-moralist flinch from the
correct demand: provide North Vietnam (which isn't Iran) with an
independent nuclear deterrent. The flinch produced a silly demand, in
that nothing could guarantee that the Soviet Union would in the end
sacrifice itself to nuclear attack if China or Vietnam were attacked.
To parody, an international "nuclear shield" is "just words."

Any program treating traffic in nuclear weapons by a different
standard than conventional weapons is presumptively moralistic,
deriving from pacifist armageddon mongering rather than class
principle, including recognizing that there are roads other than
nuclear war leading to barbarism. The consequences of nuclear war only
make the applying correct principles more important; it doesn't change
the principles themselves.

On Iran, the Spart League at least has the same position for
conventional and nuclear weapons. But when it applied defensim to
North Vietnam and China, it introduced a suspicious double standard.
The Spart League welcomed Soviet military contributions to the
struggle and excoriated their insufficiency, but when it came to
nuclear weapons, the program changed. China and Vietnam were entitled
only to a shield, a bare promise, when the issue was nuclear defense.

And he smells like an Internet prank of some sort.

If that isn't a good reason for killfiling someone, I can't
imagine one.

Yes. But I liked his Australia history pieces, especially the one from
the Socialist Alternative organization I think it was, which for some
reason I am having trouble finding again.
