MAINE Reminds the WORLD that the USA is still INFESTED
with Hateful & Ignorant BIGOTS! **SHAME** on Most of the USA!!
You make the mistake of assuming that a vote against redefinition of
marriage makes a person a bigot.
If one defines marriage to be between a man and a woman of the same
race, then opposing a change is indeed bigotry.
Instead, why not get homosexuals to ask for what they claim to want: equal
treatment under the law.
Because the bigots oppose that.
That is VERY easy to accomplish. Just get a New
Jersey style law passed granting the same rights to civil unions and
marriages.
"Separate but equal"
This isn't true. The government is not stopping anybody from getting
married to someone from the opposite sex, gays or straights; this is a
fact.
"The government is not stopping anybody from getting married to
someone from the [same race]"."
"The government is not stopping anybody from getting married to
someone from the [same religion]"."
The usual bigotry wearing a different dress.
The race argument is bigotry since interracial marriage has been going
on for centuries. The religion argument I believe is a red herring
since I don't recall the US Government ever doing that.
They're both versions of your argument.
No they're not.
Why not?
Because the government never forbade marriage across religious lines.
A religion may have, but inter-religious marriages have been going on
for centuries.
Marriage between two of the same sex is a new issue.
How is that relevant?
They're asking for a "redefinition",
So what?
Quote: not to be forbade of something
that was once common practice.
Women got the right to vote not all that long ago, which had
previously been forbidden, and which was once common practice.
In essence, the definition of "eligible to vote" was changed, as a
result. Previously it had meant only males. The "redefinition"
included females. Go figure.
Quote: I bet you'll be unable to wrap your brain around that.
Wrapping our brains around your stumbling is something we could do in
our sleep.
Quote: That's why
your logic fails.
NOW you've done it! The irony meter has exploded into smithereens!
Quote: It's nothing compared to civil rights.
Marriage is a civil institution. The right to marriage is a civil
one, rather than a religious one.
Quote: Gays are not
forced to sit in the back of a bus, or forbidden to eat in certain
places.
So what? A person who isn't forced into the back of the bus cannot
claim that his civil rights are being violated? Or does he need to
also be refused service in a restaurant?
You really have a very narrow view of things. You're looking at
particular behaviors (and laws) against a certain segment of society
and then claiming that THOSE are THE things that illustrate inequality
(and you suggest that if those things are not present, then inequality
doesn't exist). You seem to be unaware that different discriminated-
against groups will be discriminated against differently. And you
miss the larger picture entirely: that of equality. |

=== This is a RESOURCE POST that will be refreshed with
regularity UNTIL the USA *outgrows* its Hate and Stops
EXCLUDING millions of people from marrying for NO
good reason. ===
HEADS-UP to the REST of the World:
The USA is **INFESTED** with BIGOTS!!
When the majority of the voters in the State of Maine *proved*
their bigotry on November 3rd, that was a reminder of the fact that
dozens of other U.S states are every bit as bigoted. And the world's
MOST **ignorant** people are its hateful bigots. **SHAME** on
most of the USA!!
This serves as a reminder to the world that the USA is still a
repressive and BLIGHTED country! And that we are little better
than we were when our South was infested with the bigotry of
Jim Crow hate and segregation.
UNTIL that is corrected, the world should regard the USA
to be utterly WORTHLESS as a nation, and should have as LITTLE
to do with us as possible!
To the rest of the world: BOYCOTT us! If you have troops
in Afghanistan or Iraq, bring them home! Break off all trade with
us. If you plan tourism overseas, DON'T bring your Euros or other
currency HERE. There are OTHER interesting places in the world
to visit -- BETTER ones that have a far LOWER percentage of
hateful and mindless bigots!
Treat us -- the USA -- as the PARIAH to the world that we
truly still ARE!! REJECT this loathsome nation!

MAINE Reminds the WORLD that the
.... vast majority find queers disgusting and loathsome. There are
laws to prevent siblings marrying each other, and there are laws
to prevent fathers marrying their daughters. Similarly, there are
laws to prevent queers marrying each other as well. The vast
majority of normal people don't want to give their moral and
legal support to queers who demand it from them and class all
those who are against doing it as homophobes, bigots, or some
other derogatory name. No, America, like Britain, refuses to
accept same sex marriage, and it's a great day because of that.
Nonsense.
Not at all; the voting figures speak for themselves. Queers argue
that because same-sex marriage doesn't affect anyone else, there
should be no opposition to it. But what queers fail to understand
is that their moral and legal demands do affect others, of course,
and the vast majority who could be bothered to vote has voted
against them and their demands. They demand tolerance but
give none in return to those who oppose them. They call them
hateful bigots and homophobes instead of actually tolerating
them the way they demand to be tolerated. Marriage is for men
and women, not queers.
Explain it then. Since you're so smart, explain, exactly, in detail,
how two blokes down the block getting married will affect my 27 year
marriage to my wife.
Go on tough guy, explain it. No one else has, so let us see you,
explain what you claim.
No problem. Being married and belonging to the institution
of marriage is an important part of who I and my wife are.
Generally, it defines us to the community at large as a
heterosexual couple capable of having children. When the
community at large see our wedding rings they respect our
commitment to each other as being in a straight, normal
husband and wife marriage, not a bent, abnormal friendship.
And I want to keep it that way. I don't want queers using the
institution of marriage to which I belong to pass themselves
off as normal people doing what other normal people like
we do in a relationship. Unlike queers, my wife and I have
a normal sex life. We don't just wank each other off every
night like they have to do. Unlike queers, we have a family
of children we can genuinely call of our own. We don't rely
on taking in someone else's children and role-play at being
a family. Queers are not the same as normal people, and as
such they cannot expect to enter the same institution without
a great deal of resistance from the members of that institution.
Allowing them entry to it affects it and those who are
members of it by mischaracterising and redefining it to such
an extent that marriage becomes nothing more than just a mere
partnership between pals. People like you who want to
redefine it to allow queers obviously have a very poor idea
of what marriage is and most likely have a very poor marriage
because of it. Unlike you, I have a very strong and happy
marriage because my wife and I fully understand it and
appreciate it for what it is. There. Hope that helps. |

No. Every state that was given the chance to vote voted against
them.
Civil rights are not the purview of mob rule. Eventually, there will
be same sex marriage across the country.
No, there won't be. There will come a time when the queer gene
will be found in the foetus, and the heterosexual parents will
choose to get rid of it. That's the future, because queers can't
have kids of their own. Only normal couples can have kids, and
there will come a time when they can choose to abort that foetus
and try again for a normal child so that they can expect grand
children. |

"Let's simplify: We're pro children," Palin told thousands of people who
attended a $30-a-ticket fundraiser for the Wisconsin Right to Life Education
Fund.
In a personal and passionate speech, Palin lauded the state's anti-abortion
movement for legislative advances achieved over time.
"We were told to sit down and shut up," Palin said. "Wisconsin, you went
rogue."
Palin spoke movingly of her youngest son, Trig, who has Down syndrome. She
recalled that when she was pregnant, she underwent an ultrasound and the
technician told her, "I see boy parts."
Later, the technician told her that the baby's neck "is a little bit

later, Down syndrome was confirmed.
"I was scared," Palin said, adding that she asked her husband, Todd, "Why

"My family life is much richer thanks to this beautiful baby boy Trig,"
Palin said. "He is awesome." |

has happened, it is down the Drain of Extinction forevermore
for the loathsome hate-agendas of the likes of you. Never
to be heard from again. The SAME fate that befell the
EQUALLY-ignorant and hateful segregationists. In America,
bigoted movement ALWAY run their course, and then become
HISTORY, as society REJECTS them.
Quote: You don't like it, but that's just tough. Get used to it.
I didn't like it UNTIL the segregationists got THEIR
come-uppance, either. But I've been ENJOYING the EXTICT-
ION of their agendas for the 45 years that by now have
followed that well-deserved END. JUST as I *will* soon
take great delight in enjoying YOUR loathsome agendas
meeting the same fate.
Quote: Calling those who voted against it...
...the ACCURATE DESCRIPTORS that they have EARNED
for themselves id very fitting.
••• REMEMBER DR. TILLER!! •••
••• REJECT *ALL* of the RRR & LDS Cults' Hate-Agendas •••

FREEDOM is ACCELERATING!
Same-sex marriage (SSM) is REALITY in all these places, and
the list is steadily and inexorably* growing:
( * RRR Cultists: Look up "inexorable." Take it to heart.)
• Netherlands (as of 2001)
• Belgium (2003)
• Massachusetts (2004)
• Canada (2005)
• Spain (2005)
• South Africa (2005)
• Norway (2008)
• Connecticut (2008)
• New York ** (2008)
...and getting very CLOSE in 2009.
• Iowa (2009)
• Vermont (2009)
• Sweden (2009)
• New Hampshire (2009)
• Washington, D.C.** (2009)
• New Jersey: PENDING in 2009
• Hungary: PENDING in 2009
• Albania: PENDING in 2009
• Australia: 60% of Population now SUPPORTS it!
• Britain: 61% of Population now SUPPORTS it!
** New York State, Rhode Island, Washington, D.C.,
France, and Israel now recognize gay marriages
for couples legally married outside of the
state/district/country.
Gender composition is IRRELEVANT. Expect this to be the case
in almost ALL of the world within a few more years, as its societies
continue to OUTGROW and REJECT mindless bigotries.
The bigots have *already* LOST, and the RATE of their loss
is accelerating. A few years from now, SSM will be legal in ALL
50 states, and people will look back at them and their agenda, and
both will very properly be recalled with the *same* DERISION that
we now hold for the Segregationists and *their* EXTINCT agenda.

No, there won't be.
ROTFL!!! The SAME living-in-denial-of-the-INEVITABLE demise
of their hate agenda that we who were Civil Rights workers in Civil
Rights Movement I heard often from the equally-moronic and
hateful segregationists... JUST before THEIR hate-agendas
swirled down the Drain of Extinction, never to be heard from
again.
It's FUN to have the chance to watch a REPEAT of that process
again, to YOUR cretinous agenda!
ROTFL!!!! |
