Tiny But Volent Right Wing Rent-A-Mob Decend On Congress To Do Their Corporate
Masters Bidding And Fight Health Care Reform

A tiny but violent right wing rent-a-mob demanded control of our government so
they could defy the wishes of the majority of Americans who voted Democrat and
for Obama's reforms.
Michele Bachmann's minions storm capitol

Thu., Nov. 5 2009 at (no spam) 1:56PM
In case you haven't heard by now, thousands of Tea Baggers--mobilized by our
favorite representative, Michele Bachmann--are demonstrating around the Capitol
Building in D.C.. As of noon, the mob stood 10,000 strong, according to sources
on the ground. Hundreds of arrests made near Capitol building.

The loons are lucky they didn't bring guns like at the town hall meetings or
they would have been shipped home in body bags like they deserve.

Hilariously, at least two B- and C-list Hollywood types are down with the cause.
Politico has the details:

Conservative leaders like Tony Perkins of the Family Research Council showed
up, along with celebrity conservatives Jon Voight and John Ratzenberger have
also joined the protesters.

Voight invoked Rev. Jeremiah Wright in his speech, saying "the lies and
deception are blatant... Maybe it was the 20 years of sub-conscious programming
by Rev Wright to damn America."

They arrived as early as 8:30 a.m., by bus, car and plane -- from Bluffton,
S.C., Des Moines and Dorris, Calif. -- to rally with conservative lawmakers and
possibly roam the halls of Congress. Dozens of Republican lawmakers gathered
shortly after noon to offer a prayer, say the Pledge of Allegiance and rally the
crowd.

Bachmann has always been something of a spotlight-courting publicity hound, so
there's no need to rehash the niceties of the inflammatory--and oftentimes
untrue--statements that've spouted from her lipstick-caked lips in months past.
That said, now's probably a good time to quantify just how brazenly full of shit
Minnesota's Sixth District representative really is. The St. Petersburg Times's
politifact.com, for instance, analyzes congressmen's public statement and rates
them on their verisimilitude using six designations (True, Mostly True, Half
True, Barely True, False, Pants on Fire). Bachmann scored three False
statements, and four in the Pants on Fire category. See details here.

Bachmann is looking to make good on her promise to lead protesters into the
halls of the Capitol Building. Whether or not you agree with these allegedly
grassroots activists, there's something to be said about such a robust protest.
But we can't help but wonder: can anyone honestly imagine anti-war demonstrators
being granted this kind of latitude?
