Either you have selective amnesia, or you just flat lie. However, it
is impossible to debate someone who CHOOSES to post falsehoods. YOU
make claims you know are false without sources. I rebuke them WITH
sources. Then, a few months later, you are back to the SAME
falsehoods, assuming the public would no longer rememer.
You claim to be centrist but back ONLY one party. You claim to be
neutral but back on side of the argument. You claim to be Christian
but deny the commands of Christ to forgive. You claim to be an
authority but deny that authority exists. You claim to be a
capitalist but want a socialist labor force and govt control of
resources. you claim to be against the war in Iraq but have no
problem with Obama keeping us there. You claim to be against the
occupation in Iraq against non-terrorists, even as you are in favor of
occupying Afghanistan against non-terrorists. Whatever Obama speaks
you rubber stamp. And, the most scary thing yet...you said that it is
justifiable to put a gun in someone's face to force them to give you
what you want (to submit to your morals).
Bob. I will continue to pray for you. Apparently, you hate me,
personally, for some reason. I've apologized to you, and you REFUSE
to follow the example of Christ (and his COMMAND) to forgive me. You
WANT to condemn me, and you cite your own condemnation of me as proof
that I need to be condemned. You have a pre-judged decision to hate
me and condemn me, and I cannot change your mind. So, go ahead and
hate me, attack me, condemn me. Just know, I will love you, pray for
you, and post this in reply to every post you put on my threads...for
that is the only exchange we have...I don't seek out your posts to
attack...just you seeking my posts to condemn. Indeed, you told me,
prior, that you attacked me for posting in the Education groups. So,
I stopped posting there, and you followed me here to attack...SOUGHT
me out to condemn.
I will pray for your bitter heart to break and God's love to touch
you.

It is not surprising that Ford posted a profit, because of the
cash-for-clunkers program, but also because Americans are reluctant to buy
government cars. There is still hope

How conveniently you forget that Ford took out some loans for alot of
money a couple years ago before the economy went so bad. They didn't
invest as much in developing modern electric and hybrid cars as GM.
So while Ford may look better right now, It is GM that will have a

Assuming (1) that electrics and hybrids really *are* the cars of the
future, and (2) GM does something that they haven't done for decades,
which is to manufacture electrics and hybrids vehicles which are broadly
more attractive to buy than Honda, Toyota, and the broad set of
competitors, not just Ford. (Honda's electric will be half the price of
the Volt.)
GM's a dead man walking until they actually come to market with a hit.
There's none on the horizon.

You recall incorrectly. Congress did not force money on the auto
companies the way that it was forced on the banks (each of the 7 major
banks was required to take TARP money so that no single bank would be
seen as institutionally weaker or stronger). Ford went before
Congress and explained their financials. The bailout offer was made,
and Ford declined based on the terms of the offer...
So, YOU are saying Congress OFFERED bailout money to a company that
didn't need it?
Kenneth W Clifton
This is indeed the Bush government you are talking about. And they
did indeed forced their will on the banks.- Hide quoted text -

They actually continued some of it. But maybe they'll do it right
