This is a wonderful change from the Bush years, and I am so thankful for it!
Remember when photos of soldiers' caskets were verboten during Bush's term?
The twirp would never have paid the dead soldiers any honor--yet he started
the war that killed them. On false pretenses, too.
Oh, well, Cheney and Wall Street CEO's got richer. That makes it all right
in Repug's minds.
VERY HONORABLE:

Those soldiers died long AFTER General Obama could have ended
the war. No false pretenses about how he prolonged that war under "false
pretenses".
Wait, what? Last year, Afghanistan was a "war of necessity."
Liberals insistedthat we should cut and run from Iraq -- that
Afghanistan is where the action is. Whatever became of that? |

Still lying your ass off, trying to pretend we approve of the
occupation of Afghanistan, Nicky?
Who's "we," cupcake? You don't speak for the left,
let alone warmongers like Dianne Feinstein or Arianna
HuffPo or the NY Times. Speaking of lying, during the
campaign the Dems were all over Obama's "the good
war" schtick. Of course, once The One got elected,
they could stop pretending. |

Why did Obama cause their deaths with his incompetence? Whatever
happened to "on his watch"?
Very honorable to exploit deaths he caused eh? |

Bammer can't send any more troops to help the ones already there. He
has
a Nobel Peace Prize acceptance speech to give, remember? |

ow dare you accuse me of steaing my own idenity, and then run away
from what you've done? You Godless cockroach.
Quote: Bill was proud of his work, with justification. He is a gifted artist.
He also was working hard to establish himself as a writer, and he told me
of a story he was working on, about a young girl who is on her first trip
up the space elevator. The journey to the antipode would take three
days, and the girl had an interesting set of companions on the trip. It
was a promising sounding story, and I hope Bill got around to writing it
as he planned.
..
That was ten years ago, you yutz! Do you have any idea whatsoever how
many potential stories I blast through in a month? Over the past
decades, there are litereally thousands. You actually believe that I
have every storyline I wrote committed to instant memory?
And the story didn't take place in a capsule, but on the dark side of
the Moon. :Yes, the girl took a three week (not three day) space
elevator trip, but that was the first chapter of the story.
The lead character's name is Patience, whose father had just been
hired to colonize a very remote lunar area. In various drafts of the
story, her dad was a janitor, a high tech farmer, a pilot and a
government wonk
This was a major sacrifice for self absorbed pre-teen Patience -
people on the Dark Side are cut off from TV, telephones and the
Internet. It would be two years until that part of the world was
wired - until that happy day, Patience would have to settle for being
the coolest girl in Nowheresville. She was convinced that this would
be the worst fate any human ever endured.
Before the final leg of their journey, Patience visited a lunar
tourist trap, and looked through a telescope for one last glace at
Earth before being sentenced to the boonies.
The Earth was currently in its dark postion, so all that was available
were city lights.
Patience was mildly surprised when the Earth went totally black.
Annoyed at having the money she spent on the telescope wasted,
Patience notices that everyone around her was panicing. Earth had
suddenly shut down, and nobody knew why.
As the story progresses, the Earth's lights don't come back on.
Nobody has any idea why not, but the citizens of the Moon are far more
concerned with survival without Earth's help. Patience actually
become a pioneer girl
Is THAT the story you're talking about? |

Yeah, Nicky is pretty much a right wing crackpot.
OK, Nicky--show me any of the liberals in these groups that approve of
the occupation of Afghanistan. |

The only spin associated with Bush's bumblings was the one
