No, I did not. I asked for evidence _that Bloomberg ordered tickets to
be issued for sitting on steps or crates_.
And I did.
No, what you found was evidence that Bloomberg asked the police to
discourage loitering on the streets, and the way _they chose to
implement his request_ was by ticketing people they perceived as
loitering.
And now you're complaining about it. Why is that?
Because you didn't show that Bloomberg ordered the ticketing of people
sitting on steps or crates.
I was going to attach audio files that I personally recorded of
Bloomberg ordering the police to 'ticket everybody sitting on milk
crates and public stairs,' but someone stole it late one night.
Bloomberg ordered the police to issue more tickets to raise revenue
for NYC.
Just as Ghoulee ordered the police to "stop and frisk" more blacks and
hispanics.

What's your evidence that he did so?
This should be good.

A grace period seems utterly useless. If one were instituted,
then you'd have people complaining that they they got ticketed
as soon as the grace period ended.
-smo (if I want a grace period, I just
get there five minutes early)

In my neighborhood, the grace period is five minutes after alternate
side starts and the last five minutes of the alternate side time. In
the last five minutes, the streets have already been clean and
everyone is sitting in their cars (for as long as thirty minutes)
waiting for alternate side to end.
I can't imagine I'm in the only neighborhood like this.

No "grace period" in Astoria...the ticket agents are in thier cars at
the end of the block, and they start ticketing IMMEDIATELY when the
clock hits 9:30am. And just "because they can" they gave a pregnant mom
with two small kids a ticket for double-parking on the other side of
the street as she was unloading groceries and sheparding her kids
inside thier home...no, she was not blocking the sweepers, just trying
to live her life.
