Morpheal’s Comments - January 26th, 2009 - One Idea For Davos, and
Babel of Information Muck is Babble Into American Fundamentalist
Religion

ONE BASIC PRINCIPLE NEEDS TO CHANGE AT DAVOS:

We all doubt those at Davos will change habitual direction and choose
the unfamiliar path towards the realization that when something needs
to be done in the world, for the sake of future humanity and future
quality of life, and when we find that the argument against doing that
is the lack of monetary paper, that nothing is then really standing in
the way of doing it.

That one revolutionary statement is the only statement that needs
serious, immediate, consideration and adoption as the core values and
foundational beliefs upon which a world economy can truly and
effectively be built. Without that one principle, there will only be
more of the same, even if differently expressed, ever worsening doom.

Maximizing short term profits, sacrificing future quality of life, and
making the poorest suffer the most from what are often the ignorant
and savagely predatory practices of some of the very affluent and
powerful is truly satanic. The road we are forced to travel continues
to be the road to hell that they have chosen to make.

PUBLISHING MORE LIES LEADS TO RELIGIOUS FUNDAMENTALISM:

Many popular internet information sources, but not limited to the
internet and long a serious problem with "non fiction" "popular"
writing, is that they lack truly expert, legally responsible,
competent editorial scrutiny. New laws are needed to assure reasonable
content reliability of public information. If we do not have new laws
soon everyone will be utterly buried in a growing mountain of careless
inaccuracies, and deliberate lies, completely losing any remaining
faith in ever sifting out any reliable truth or direction from the
quagmire of endless mountains of “information”.

The mountain of lies has been largely encouraged by the rise of
American fundamentalist religion where the Bible tends to be believed
to be the only real truth. Due to that American trend, spanning recent
decades the situation has become much worse, with greatly diminished
regard for any real scrutiny as to “non fiction” truth. In fact the
average library has become the lie - brary, a briar patch of anything
goes, as long as it is popular, and people have a desire to read it.
The contrast of “non fiction” deceptions, misinformations, opinions
poorly grounded in facts, unverifiable information claiming facticity,
misleading information, and illogical argumentation, is then readily
made against the claims as to higher truth, of fundamentalist
religious doctrine. The larger the mountain of deceptions the better
religious dogmatism tends to look in comparison. What we find is
religious fundamentalism offering a simplification to the increasingly
lost and confused that cannot be found in the maze of deceit and
inaccuracies that is promoted in covert support of the fundamentalist
position. The latter, of course, remaining comparatively unchallenged
as to its validity.

Forcing a system of simplest minded irrational belief by means of
flooding the human psyche with false, misleading, misinformation and
disinformation, can be effective. Many people often do give up trying
to wade through the muck to find something solid to hold onto. They do
not want to be drowned in information muck. However, declaring
religious Puritan based Christian fundamentalism, with its totalistic
extremist tendencies, and its literalism and anti theological Biblical
attitudes, as being the sole opportunity for the achievement of “The
peace that surpasses understanding” is a form of violence that no one
ought to tolerate, and no one ought ever to condone. Particularly when
“the peace that surpasses understanding” is forcefully pushed as the
only way out of the constant and never ending deluge of informational
muck. It is time the world chose to topple the American tower of
information Babel. The very idea that information cannot and will not
save you, and particularly that it will not save you from the American
tower of information Babel, but that the Bible can and will do so, is
unacceptably wrong in today’s world.

We note how the American tower of information Babel has changed
attitudes to world religions and philosophies, undermining eclecticism
and exploration, attacking the social sciences in that area,
particularly comparative religion, that all was so very much a part
of the 1960s. The attack has been unrelenting, since then, and it all
bears a Puritan rooted, American fundamentalist, intelligence
“signature” on it. Of course the basic intent is to flood with a
Babel of information, oriented at creating and exacerbating systemic
conflicts, while striving to force the population of the world through
the “eye of needle” of Puritan style Christian religious
fundamentalism.

If you look at the pattern that has become prevalent in relevant
cases, you find that all other systems, inclusive of Catholic and
major protestant churches, Buddhism, Islam, Paganism, Hinduism, and
others similarly are all made conflicted and the cause of conflicts,
whereas Puritan based Christian fundamentalism is spared that
treatment. It is the only system spared that treatment, from among the
major religious denominations and faiths.
