You guys are doing a disservice to the country. Stop giving
republicans a free pass. 99% of your show is devoted to criticizing
democrats. This infers that republicans are doing a great job. The 1%
of the time that you are critical of republicans it's always a weak,
generic statement. You guys never single out an individual.
Here's an example: On Glenn Beck's show back in the beginning of the
year he was constantly interviewing republican congressmen about
Obama's stimulus package. The first question he would ask was "What
was your vote on the stimulus?" The congressman would proudly reply,
"No!". Why not ask about how he voted on some of Bush's stimulus
bills? The Bank Bailout? Prescription drugs for seniors? Farm bills?
Steel tariffs? Can't do that. That would make republicans look bad.
And Glenn Beck is one of the better ones.
If you only listened to conservative talk radio you would get the idea
that democrats are a bunch of communists and republicans are all
Jeffersonian free market types. In reality there is very little
difference between the 2 parties. 2 weeks ago a stimulus bill passed
to extend unemployment and give cash to home buyers. For any free
market capitalist, this would be a no brainer. An easy no vote. Guess
what! It passed in Senate 98-0! Every stinking republican voted for
it! It was almost as bad in the House, about the only no vote was from
the dependable Ron Paul, who for some odd reason, conservatives hate
with a passion. Go figure.
What the republicans do is vote against a few high profile bills like
health care and cap and trade. But quietly, thanks in part to
conservative talk radio, they vote for every big government, socialist
bill that comes along. |

So, let's see how you want this work. The Lame Stream Media give the
Democrats a pass, and attacks Republicans non-stop. Conservative talk
give equal time between liberals and conservatives.

Like I said, Glenn Beck is one of the better ones. But his criticism

I absolutely agree that the democrats are worse but don't we KNOW that
already? Democrats are just doing what they do. I'm actually more
upset with republicans because they are supposed to be for free
markets. But that is simply not true. They are all flaming hypocrites.
Look at that doofus Minority House speaker for example. Did you see
him waving around the consitution the other day? Asking where the
health care bill is authorized in it? What a hypocrite. Half of the
bills he has voted for are unconstitutional. Give me a friggin' break. |

Conservative talk gives equal time between liberals and
conservatives? Really? What universe do you live in? You should
check out reality some day.

So you think the best way to counter mindless, one-sided attacks from
the left is with mindless, one-sided attacks from the right? This is
why neither the mainstream media or conservative talk radio has any
credibility. |

I agree with you on that point and I have been a lifelong republican. Up to
recently, I would support them come hell or high water, but no more. If
they are doing what I think is wrong, I am not going to be silent anymore.
I will however, continue to support them if their position on the issue is
what I think the right position. |

I point you to the first sentence of the paragraph: "So, let's see

There is no need for conservatives to give liberals talking points -
it's impossible to live in America without being saturated with their
propaganda. Rush doesn't need equal time for the other side - he IS
equal time. |

That's fine if all you are interested in is cheerleading and trying to
get your side to win elections. Just don't pretend that Rush is
principled and believes in free markets and the Constitution. |

Thank you, but since I am an old man, the odds are I won't be around long
enough to make any difference. It is really up to the younger people to
understand that they should not just listen to their rhetoric, but what they
do about their rhetoric that counts. Republicans talk a good story, but
anyone who pays attention would know that they do not walk the talk. That
is why I like the tea party movement. They are on the right track as far as
I am concerned. Now all it takes is for enough Americans to follow their
lead. I don't think the party is going to change unless the "people" force
them to change. And if they do not listen to the "people" then they deserve
to be in the minority as far as I am concerned. |

yep. He is the one that made me realize that what is important is our
freedom. If he did nothing else, I will thank him for the balance of the
short time I have left in this world, for teaching me that important fact.
I had forgetten how important our freedom is. |
