Weld County ID theft case involving suspected illegal immigrants goes to

DENVER (AP) — The Colorado Supreme Court is hearing arguments about the
legality of an identity theft investigation against hundreds of suspected
illegal immigrants who were filing taxes, without having valid Social
Security numbers.
A district court judge halted the investigation in April after he ruled
Weld County authorities violated people's privacy and had no probable cause
to inspect their tax returns.
Anyone who earns income in the U.S. must file taxes, regardless of legal
status.
The public defender's office and the American Civil Liberties Union are
arguing against Weld County's appeal Thursday.
County authorities said last year as many as 1,300 suspected undocumented
immigrants were using other people's identities to work and file taxes.

claim someone's refund!! And the ACLU defends them. |

How odd you can't seem to grasp the concept the the ACLU is not saving
our freedoms in the US. Or that it is a felony to use fake or stolen ID.
What the ACLU is doing by protecting illegals that commit felonies, is
undemining the laws that were set up to protect US citizens. Ever had
you SS number stolen ? Know the difficulty that it causes ? What about
the rights and privacy of US citizens ? Nope The ACLU is an agengy set
up to destroy the rights of US citizens. If you ever get your number
stolen go to them and see how many rights you have to be protected from
ID theft. |
