"Conservative Loses Upstate House Race in Blow to Right " [
Mr. Hoffman spoke to a deflated crowd of about 50 in a hotel ballroom
here soon after midnight on Wednesday and said he had called Mr. Owens
to concede.
]
[
The district has been a Republican stronghold for generations, and the
party has represented parts of it since the 19th century.
The battle became one of the most closely followed races in the
nation, drawing in some of the biggest forces in politics in both
parties. Republicans who viewed the race as a test of the partys
most deeply held conservative principles including Sarah Palin,
the former governor of Alaska; Gov. Tim Pawlenty of Minnesota, a
presidential hopeful; and grass-roots groups that have forcefully
opposed Democratic economic and health care policies rallied
behind Mr. Hoffman.
]
They had held that district since the 1800s ....
Owens got less than 50% dumbass. The whore who stabbed the Republicans
in the back is partially responsible. Hoffman will be back.
BTW did you notice the slaughter in VA? All 3 top office to one party,
been awhile that that happened. And the margins? 60 - 40?
And New Jersy? Blue state in the tank for Obammy?
Yeaa, and uhh, the Republican party is making a total comeback
right?
I guess we'll find out on Judgement Day.
Which judgment day?
The day that the Democrats get the wedgie they so richly deserve. 11/09/10.
How is another vote for the Dems in the House of Representatives a
wedgie? |

The election in the New York 23rd Congressional district didn't make
national headlines until Hoffman entered the race because he felt
Scozzafava did not represent the Republican Party. The truth is
Scozzafava was not a good representative for Republican Party. Her
candidacy flew under the radar becuase she was chosen by a local GOP
committee. The race might have been different if they had they luxury
of a primary. Hoffman wasn't heard of until Fred and Jeri Thompson
made it an issue on their radio show. Hoffman entered the race too
late and Scozzafava left the race too late. On election day,
Scozzafava was still on the ballot which in effect made her a spoiler.
Hoffman trailed the Democrat by only a couple of percentage points. If
Scozzafava wasn't in the race, Hoffman would have probably won. So it
was no big defeat for the Republicans.
The bigger loses were in New Jersey and Virginia where the main issues
were the economy and unemployment.

Hey...the conservatives are causing rope shortages by using it all up

Swing wingers swing.
Yah. WINNING is tantamount to losing. A year from now, using that as
"logic", the dimorats will be the biggest WINNERS of all, LOSING 50+
seats in the House and 10+ in the Senate. And then Obammy will WIN by
LOSING re-election. And the country will WIN because those LUSER
SOCIALISTS won't be in office anymore.
"Oh ya..the democrats are in so much trouble. All they have left is
the White House, both houses of Congress and all of Hollywood."
David Letterman
Excellent! You want 'em, you got 'em along with the rest of the
District of Criminals. When you leave take New York, Chicago and San
Francisco with you.
It'll be the first peace and quiet for this country since Lincoln.
The guy who owns the house doesn't leave. The unwanted guest leaves or
he gets a shoe up his ass. I wear size 13 wide.
But "the guy" doesn't own the house. And we aren't guests.
The people of their respective states own the central government. The
states will soon take over governing.
If you want corruption, perversion and tyranny go to Russia. I hear
they're about to crank up Communism again. Or China. Lot's of 'free'
health care in China. |

snicker
after 8 YEARS of having Republican DICK shoved up our collective
assholes, a wedgie will be a relief.
Damn, I've heard of taking things personally, but...
So, having been the victim of an eight-year gang rape you're now
content with being a 24/7 glory-hole waitress.
Do you realize how weak and pathetic you sound?
no.
so now I'm weak and pathetic.
I have ways of compensating for these attributes, if there is any
truth to them. Personally, I think you have a hardon for me and wish
it was YOUR dick in my ass for the last 8 years. ;-|
I'm old, I'm sick, I'm tired. You want to save the world, have at it.
I'll be over here looking after me and mine. good luck, but you're
beginning to sound a lot like loser man.

"Conservative Loses Upstate House Race in Blow to Right "
Which right is that? The right that supported the Democrat or the
right that ran against him?
Man, nice spin. In a day of Democrat disasters, you go toilet bowl
fishing and come up with one race that came out about the way people
predicted. Somehow that makes all the D losses of no matter at all.
Amazin'
This was a federal office, not a local one.
Obama is hardly likely to run for mayor ...
Nor would he be likely to win.
Quote: And no neocon could get elected as dogcatcher.
Agreed. NeoCons are thoroughly dead and whipped. For now. But they
do keep popping up in history.
But the Dems will be taking on Republicans ranging from conservative,
through moderate, to right down liberal. And they will be taking on
strengthened Conservative and Libertarian party candidates too. I
wouldn't be so quick to count the Dem chickens in that battle. |
