Aecom Charged Army $19 for 12-Cent Washers in Iraq, Audit Says

Somebody had to pay to fly the washers to Iraq.

Surely there are washers for sale in Kuwait or Saudi Arabia or Egypt.
Surely we didn't need to fly washers from stateside.

Actually, the US military standard for washers applies, not kuwait
standard.

Which standards? Name them.

Tell us the mil spec for a washer and compare with a "civilian" one -

No dodging this time.

Cute. If you knew anything about mil standards, you would know that there
are standards for every item. Since the article did not divulge the washer

Which is what I'm asking for... and the poster must know in order to make this
claim. Or, more likely, they made it up.

part number, it is pretty difficult to produce the mil-spec for that part
number. With that little twist, you will claim victory.
