10% unemployment, rising. Another half million Americans lose their
jobs every week.

We're broke.

Yet the economy is suddenly, miraculously ... allegedly ... growing?
Right out of the clear blue sky.

Miracle of miracles!

Or perhaps, billions of our TARP bailout dollars are being used behind
closed doors - to prop things up...

I vote "b".

..

This isn't a recovery - it's a sugar high after a trillion borrowed
dollars were pumped into the economy. And an astonishingly anemic
sugar high at that.

In "Batman: The Animated Series," The Joker explained that "if you
have to explain a joke, then it's not funny." Same thing with
recoveries - if you have to read a page full of numbers to tell folks
how good they got it - they don't got it good.

A year ago, I fully expected that at this time, I would be watching
the Stock Market hit 15,000, unemployment sink to 4% and I'd be
muttering that "this can't last". The plan was to ride through the
first two years, and wait for everything to come crashing down around
our ears.

Apparently, no wait is necessary.

Obama certainly spent enough for a massive, short term, recovery. The
problem what that Barry squandered the money on a liberal wish list
which didn't produce much of anything positive. He tried to bribe the
American people with their own money, and managed to screw THAT up.

The elephant in the room is that Obama has quarenteed that America's
economy CAN'T recover; he embedded thousands of little mid-level
suckups in key positions through out the country. People who hate
capitalism, and are deliberately doing everything they can to destroy
small business.

The next three years are going to be very ugly for liberals.
Unemployment is, at best, going to hover around 10%. The debt will
continue to soar, especially if Crap and Trade and ObamaCareless
passes. The wheels are already falling off Medicare, and 2010 is the
first year that Social Security will spend more than it takes in. The
Democrats are quietly refinancing ACORN, and they're turning a blind
eye to noted pedophile supporting Safe School Czar.

GDP Expanded 3.5% in 3rd Quarter

...................................................................................................

Gross domestic product rose by a higher-than-expected
seasonally
adjusted 3.5% annual rate July through September, the
Commerce
Department said Thursday in its first estimate of
third-quarter GDP.

Economists surveyed by Dow Jones Newswires had forecast 3.2%
GDP
growth during the summer.

GDP is the broad measure of economic activity in the U.S.

The rise in GDP was the first since the second quarter of
2008.

It served as an unofficial confirmation that the longest and
deepest
recession since the Great Depression has ended.

The purveyor of the official word on recessions, the
National Bureau
of Economic Research, declared the slump began in December
2007.

The private, non-profit research group has yet to announce
an ending
date.

The GDP gain was driven by consumer spending, which rose by
3.4% in
the third quarter, compared with a 0.9% drop in the
April-to-June
period. Consumer spending contributed 2.36 percentange
points to GDP
growth.

Economists said the massive stimulus injected by the U.S.
government,
such as the cash for clunkers program that lifted car sales,
helped
boost consumer spending.

Yes - RECOVERY ! A miracle of statistics Smile

All paid for, of course, with Chinese money.

The interest alone being enough to gobble-up
the entire 'recovery' and then go looking
for seconds ........

The USA *cannot* be jump-started this time ... we're
spent, our jobs gone overseas, our industries rusting
away. We simply cannot compete with el-cheapo foreign
labor and unregulated industries on any scale that can
float the entire USA. That's the truth of it. In the
end we are going to have to settle into a lifestyle
with much narrower horizons that we've been used to.
It's gonna be a severe shock to everyones system.

Meanwhile, OB is pouring on the methadone, trying to
forstall withdrawal symptoms. He can maintain the
pipedream for a little while longer, a year or two,
but after that ...... well ... won't be long before
China cuts off the money supply and starts demanding
we pay back what we've borrowed so far. Oughtta take
about 100 years ......

ummmm, when (if?) you bought a house, you paid cash, right?

Whether Obama's methodology in his stimulus package and other elements
of the total "bailout" program were right or wrong is one issue, but
borrowing from China is the result of the last thirty years of
reichtard deficits....nothing left in the national "bank account."
Remember Bush declaring the coming trillions (if the economic
forecasts held) in government surpluses must be stopped? No "Rainy day
accounts for you reichtards. So where was Obama gonna turn?

Actually I would have raised the marginal tax rate up to 70%, with
half that rate forgiven if immediately invested in rebuilding US
manufacturing.

But...like a typical looneytarian/reichtard....contiinue to whine
without presenting an alternative of your own.

This is the same Chinese money that financed the entire 8
years of the Bush presidency. You weren't concerned then,
but you are now. I wonder why?

Let's see where you stand, SHOULD it be a concern, yes or no?

I was one of the first people to start bitching about our relationship
with China because their industrial growth spurt a decade or so ago
impacted the hell out of my business and the contracts I held at the
time. Since then I was spreading the word about how dangerous it was
doing business the way that it was happening, and a lot of people told
me I was nuts.

I made it a New Year's resolution three years ago not to shop at
Walmart because 99% of the crap there is from China.

Maybe I'm just a little sharper than the people that didn't see this
coming down starting with Bill Clinton, continuing through the Bush
administration, and setting up to burn us in the Obama
administration...
